Zara McFarlane: Sweet Whispers – Celebrating Sarah Vaughan | 6th March @ 7pm
British jazz vocalist Zara McFarlane presents Sweet Whispers: Celebrating Sarah Vaughan — a soulful tribute marking the centenary of the legendary Sarah Vaughan.
Reimagining classics like Tenderly and Stardust, alongside lesser-known gems, McFarlane blends elegance and emotional depth with her own modern jazz voice.
Supported by a piano, this duo live set radiates warmth and sophistication. Sweet Whispers is both a heartfelt homage and a contemporary celebration, reaffirming McFarlane’s place as one of the UK’s most captivating jazz voices.

The EFG London Jazz Festival was incredible this year. London is proud. So much on offer and so much sold out. I am grateful to have played my part with One Jazz radio. Four guest packed broadcasts, a salsa club night with Henry Hilton and Gerry Lyseight and sold out live performances from Zara McFarlane at Abney Park Chapel and Seb Rochford’s Finding Ways at Cockpit Theatre. Can’t wait to go again 2026. 🙏🏼🤘🏼
My heart is with Jamaica right now. The devastation and loss so many are facing is deeply painful to witness — homes, communities, and memories torn apart.
As someone whose roots and creative spirit are grounded in Jamaica, I feel this deeply. The island’s rhythm, strength, and soul have always been a source of light and inspiration for me.
Thank you to everyone who reached out to check in on my extended family. They are grateful for life but have devastating damage to their homes and livelihood. It is going to be a long road to recovery.
In the midst of so much destruction, I hold faith in the unbreakable spirit of the Jamaican people — with an ability to rise, rebuild, and continue.
Sending love, strength, and unity to everyone across the island and all the Caribbean islands affected.
Please check my bio and stories to find out how to help and support the cause. 🇯🇲
