Just so we’re clear, trans and queer folks are at the center of who I make ZAPWARE for. My business exists in part thanks to many queer supporters, and the ZAPWARE aesthetic is informed by my years in the NY rave scene, a world that would not exist without its foundations in BIPOC queerness. Also, if you haven’t read “Forest Euphoria” by @queendom_fungi yet (a recommended read) you should know that nature is queer as hell.

I am grateful that my life is filled with an abundance of fellow queer and trans folks who are an integral part of what makes my life rich and fulfilling. I always want to give the same love and care in kind.

The current administration is doing everything it can to make it impossible for trans folks to exist in this country and I will never shy away from supporting our trans brothers, sisters, theys and gays.

A funny side story: the final catalyst for me starting ZAPWARE as a biz was a meme of a picture of a bug pant with text above it that playfully said “do not tell gay people about these pants.” I haven’t been able to find it again so pls help me find it!! It is my foundational text for why I wanted to make cuter gay pants. Zapping is for everyone, but queers to the front!

Pruned a few overgrown branches off of one of my spruce trees and collected the spruce tips for some @foragerchef syrup. ZAPWARE is a must on these buggy days with all the on/off rain. Xerox got a whole damn hr of ball time before this, but you’d never know it from this (sound on if you want to be annoyed). I promise I throw her the ball at the end lol #funnydog #slowfashionstyle

Folks in the Hudson Valley/Catskills! If you have wanted a ZAPWARE set but it’s out of the budget, I am looking for some light help in the studio. In exchange for a one-time 6 hr shift at my home studio in Purling, you can get a set in any main color (black, white, or two-tone) of your choosing. Help might look like fabric cutting, putting in elastics, or packing, but it’ll be low-lift and no sewing skills necessary. I’m only able to do this on weekdays rn but DM me if you’d like to trade! I am chill to hang with and you will have time to listen to audiobooks/music or watch TV while you work!
