This project is proof that you can completely transform a rental and have it feel personality-filled and vibrant... even with white walls. One of the earliest design decisions was intentionally keeping the walls white but drenching the floors in @backdrop โs Blue is the Coolest Color to anchor the space. Yes, groundbreaking for me to stick with white walls! But there was a vision and we knew it would work. Between the blue floors, the DIY cork wall, the polka dot curtain wall, and all the cheerful pieces, this space looks and feels like @omgnikkic , aka joyful and so much fun!!

A moment for the stairs at @omgnikkic studio! ๐๐ถ๏ธ
Runners can be expensive, but this colorful number from IKEA is one of my favorite budget-friendly finds. Three of them, actually, two for the stairs and one for the landing pad. To make them meet at the turn, I cut both edges at a 45-degree angle and staple-gunned the whole thing down. Cheerful, wonโt break the bank, and will only briefly break your brain (๐คช) while youโre putting it together. Worth it!
