Excited to finally be able to share images from a project that means a lot to me. This is Wavelengths, a story that celebrates and shines a light on the creativity, individualism, and unity that thrive within the Black surf community, a community that I proudly find myself a part of. A massive thank you to @apostrophereps for creating a space for stories like mine and my fellow mentee’s to be amplified.
Thank you to the dream team that helped bring this vision to life.

A day with Jeff Yokoyama aka Yoki at his store and design studio, @yokishop . What started as a few hour visit, quickly turned into a full day of stories and show and tell of his insane vintage collection and design decks (all on paper). Yoki’s creative mind is incredible, there’s no hesitation to create whatever he thinks of, and I hope to take that sentiment with me for a long time. Special thanks to @tigerblossomstudio for the vibes🤌🏽
In the bay with @matt_pagan aka @pagan_usa . Loved seeing some of the process on how Matt creates his boards, and a tour of the historic quiver from his pro career. Also, the smile on his face when he showed me the board that he shaped for his baby daughter (slide 9) was priceless.
Sunset in northern Wisconsin last summer after a day on the farm with the @helllobatch crew.
Showed the first photo in “Fleeting”, a very special gallery show in November by @reinnesplace & @tble.co 🫶🏽
A few of my favorite moments from last year. I proposed to my best friend, traveled more than ever, worked with incredibly inspiring people, and spent some quality time with family and friends. Grateful for every person that was part of it, and ready for what’s up next 🙏🏽
One of the most special parts about having @skydogjewelry design and make Haley’s engagement ring was being able to stop by the studio and documenting the entire process. I’ll always admire the dedication to working with traditional tools and attention to detail that Jordan & Tiff bring to their pieces. Grateful that their work gets to live with us forever now.
