Well, this surprised me.. 🤔 This is the @shop.jdm.us HKS GT2 Supercharged BRZ. We hit the dyno with it over at @theshopct and asked our tuner Zach (@z_tuner_guy ) to give it the sauce, using @ecutek_technologies of course. Post-dyno, this car pulls VERY linearly and the HKS SC feels *almost* factory with its consistent and comfortable power delivery. That being said, let’s talk about the power… or lack thereof. The HKS GT2 kit comes with a restrictor plate installed in the supercharger inlet between the compressor and inlet pipe. Why? Well, supposedly it helps keep the kit in its most basic form—quieter and more conservative—while leaving room for restrictor removal, paired with fueling upgrades to achieve more power. Personally, I appreciate HKS including the option for power diversity in this kit. Although I expect most to remove the restrictor to bring out the potential in the FA24, I can see the appeal in retaining it. Many would like to keep things 99.9% comfortable and reliable—and the restrictor helps with that. Needless to say, the GT2 kit took me by surprise with the way it boogies on the street (thanks to Zach). With how this chassis handles (like a go-kart), the kit complements the ZD8 / ZN8 well. #brz #gr86 #zd8 #zn8 #86

After a heartbreaking loss at last year’s One Lap of America event where the team’s engine failed, we’re back at it better than ever. The original pre-production engine from Toyota’s R&D time period had already logged over 650 at pace laps across several consecutive track seasons and 18-20 different tracks. Its longevity under sustained race conditions highlights the depth of development behind the GR Supra program, supported by strong collaboration throughout the rebuild including tuning work by Zach at CSG.
