Today’s @yycccom coordinator meeting provided opportunities to connect with personalization and slowing down and going deeper. Hosted @werklundcentre , we explored portraiture and what characteristics about ourselves we wanted to highlight in our work. There were many laughs and sharing of ideas and suggestions. It was wonderful to connect in this way. We also shared in collaborative conversations, continuing to look at our collective why and its importance. There are many upcoming #yycCCOM events such as preparing for applications and workshops, that were focuses of conversation. @yycbedu @calgarycatholicschooldistrict

How are we all connected? @woodbinecbe Grade 1s have explored with @2schoolyyc this week discovering how they are connected to Calgary. After the big snow yesterday, there was ample opportunity today to enjoy the sunshine while learning about how people and wildlife use St. Patrick’s Island. Some students even saw beaver prints! Seeing ‘wild’ spaces within the downtown help students connect this experience to their nearby Fish Creek Park. @yycbedu #yycCCOM

What does it mean to be EXTRA-ordinary? Sometimes, it’s just moments of pure bliss! Belvedere Parkway Gr 1s have explored this big question @werklundartsed this week. With student quotes of “It’s like a dream come true” and “I’ve learned this week how to be extraordinary” — it’s evident the impact of learning through the arts and working together in community, has had on these kiddos. @yycbedu #yycCCOM
