Happy to announce 2 solo exhibitions and a book 🤭🔥, all built around a new body of work produced by the @collezione_maramotti with the support of the @heidelberger_kunstverein . On an invitation from the Maramotti family and @sara.piccinini , in partnership with @soerengrammel .  The book "Real Things Start Outside" contains texts from two of the most brilliant curators on the face of the planet we call Earth, @siele_witch and @ritaouedraogo and an original story from me. Don't worry, the work is not as cunty as it looks. Some pictures of my solo show "Sorry, but your beloved mom is not always right!" at @westfaelischerkunstverein which closed september 15th. For this show the pressure was high, the exhibition had to be as good as the title; but thanks to @janapepls @seerauber_jenni , Tono, Bernard and @k.scepanski the amazing team at the Westfalischer Kunstverein we ended up building an exhibition I'll be proud of for a long time. Now I'm excited for my next solo @gathering.london opening November 29th. 🤭🔥🔥🔥 Thank you Kristina Scepanski for the invitation, Gathering London, @nir.altman and @adagp_ for the support. 🙏🏿 And also wishing the best to @theresaroessler 💞 for her new role as director, the kunstverein is in really good hands! Tbh 2024 was not a sexy year so far, but even in a world where everything sucks there is still pocket of hopes and beauty. I would like to share some beautiful moments and good news from these last few months. I had the chance to have the incredibly amazing @madeleine_planeixcrocker wrote an article about me in @curamagazine 41, the article is my favourite text about my practice and is finally available online. (1 & 2) In this politically difficult time I'm proud that my videos "Will you feel comfortable in my corner" (7) and "A coin is a coin" (8) are joining the French public collection; respectively the @fondsartcontemporain_paris and the @fraciledefrance collection. I'm glad to be able to share my work with new audiences in new countries outside of Europe, @gathering.london brought my video "A to Z" to Seoul for @art_ono_seoul (4) and I went to Istanbul for a really cute group show (6) at @sanatorium_ curated by cutie @kickemtothehole . I'm also glad to be invited to talk about my work, like last May when I joined @magali_elali of the @theconstantnow for a conversation at @mhkamuseum (3). And last but not least, what makes life worth living, meeting amazing people and work with them, like the team at @westfaelischerkunstverein (5), what a cute time we had in Munster installing my show "sorry but your beloved mom is not always right". 😭❤️ Let's hope the rest of the year will be better than the first half. 🙏🏿🥺 Ps: My solo at Westfalischer is still running until September 14, and you have until the 20 July to see the show in Istanbul at Sanatorium. 😘

My installation "The Guru" that we carefully developped and brought to life for the Fondation Louis vuitton @fondationlv with @claudia_buizza and @ludovic_delalande last year is going to be exhibited at Transmediale at @kunstraumkreuzberg in Berlin starting January 31. I'm really proud and happy for this installation to be able to travel and to be showned to a new audience. 😭🔥💕 "The Guru" is one of my fav project, I had the chance to work with the best team to create something I'm really proud of, all graphic design and art direction by @axelpelletanche , directed by @romaincieutat , make up by @oldiechristal , stylism by @ally.macrae assisted by @_claraziegler and @esther.talaber , Dop @mateocolzi , voice by @salberlee and last but not least I was assisted by @flofloflofl0flo and my dear sister Onja Kouagou. 😭❤️ If you want more info about this installation : In "The Guru" the writer, performer and video artist is centre stage, performing a narrative inspired by those so often heard from mentors and other neo-gurus who use social networks to present self-help tips and behavioural techniques for achieving a successful life. But unlike those “guru-influencers,” the artist gives us neither tools nor solutions. "Simulating a dialogue that swings from listening to challenging, Ndayé Kouagou, in a life-sized projected silhouette, engages the visitor in a quite personal – and often humorous – conversation. His impeccably attired, femininely voiced character pushes us to analyse ourselves: Do we expect less or more? Are we trying to give or take? Is this about you or about us? I'm really proud to announce "The guru" my first museum solo show. The exhibition is curated by @claudia_buizza and @ludovic_delalande as part of the @fondationlv 's Open Space program and is opening on April 7. 🥰🙏🏿♥️ For the opening night I have invited @harilayrabenjamina and @soa_sifaka to perform, I don't really know what they will present, these two are very secretive. 😂 So I'll discover it at the same time as you. Also, if you're in London you can already see a small scale extract of "The Guru" at @gathering.london in the group show "Violins/violence" with Bruce Nauman, @cecilebevans , @jessedarling , and @sungtieu I wanted to thank @paulmaheke , @cedric.fauq , @macaronic_cheese , and @tareklakhrissi , the first people who believed in me as an artist, if I'm doing what I'm doing today is partly because of you. 😭🫶🏿 And last but not least thanks to all the people who worked with me on this project @ally.macrae @flofloflofl0flo @oldiechristal @romaincieutat @onjakouag @esther.talaber @_claraziegler @salberlee @mateocolzi @madeleine_planeixcrocker Thomas Luck and especially my dears @nir.altman and @axelpelletanche for their outstanding work and for being by my side everyday. 🙏🏿 I hope to see you on April 7! 💐
