that’s called something along the lines of
“shoes and rhythm; strangers on a bike and home”
and I had the honor of premiering it at @veloberlin this weekend.

It’s been such a full, fulfilling weekend with A LOT of joy and bikes and inspiration and amazing people and energies and and and
so grateful to have been a part of it and
trust that loads more impressions will be coming soon of these beautiful last 2 days !!

This is joy, bro !
How riding bikes and poems would come together was something totally beyond me,
but I started doing it and kept doing it
and it’s brought me endless amounts of joy.
And as I began to dive deeper into joy last year,
I realized more and more that the key to joy
is that connection piece.
We are all so deeply connected,
to everything.
To that which we can see
and to all of that which we cannot
And in that often fleeting moment of feeling those connections
deeply
well… joy is found
And if true joy is connection,
then it only follows that the sharing of it compounds it,
that feeling
Riding bikes has always brought me closer to joy.
It gave me a way in
to wanting to explore it more deeply
So I founded @thisisjoybro and started organizing community Joy Rides and continue to write and ride and merge the worlds that just bring me so much joy.
All that being said,
I’ll be sharing a new piece this weekend at @veloberlin about cycling and joy and trains of thought and fleeting moments of home

Yesterday, on the last day of Feb,
we kicked off our JOY RIDES 🚴🏽♀️
What you experience riding a bike is incredible
What you experience riding a bike together,
in a group of other riders, is really difficult to put into words
All that comes to mind again and again is: This is joy, bro🥹
And yesterday felt like the epitome of that.
It was everything and more than I could’ve imagined.
Thank you to all of the many special souls who showed up on two legs and on four 🐶 !!
