A lot of my colleagues in the film and television industries are feeling the crunch of a significant reduction in work opportunities. Most people tend to think about how they may not see as many movies in the theaters, or how convenient it is to stream content from home or how they may not see their favorite actor or actress as much as they would like. What folks may also tend not to think about as much is the impact , streaming, Covid, both the actor and writers strikes , and the lack of robust tax incentive programs across these United States has had on the industry and how that has prompted more productions to go abroad. Here
@iatse President Matthew D. Loeb highlights how productions leaving the
US is hurting the industry.
I love being a part of the magic of theater and filmmaking , the craft of acting and the transformative nature of art to show us who we are , have been or could be, but being an actor alone, has never been enough for me. What I love more is being a storyteller in the truest sense of the word as being a writer , director, producer, musician, educator and entrepreneur. Building
@yobadevelopment at the intersection of my passions for business , real estate , education and media allows for me to pivot between these spaces seamlessly understanding the power of story as a tool to drive business. Can’t wait to share more on what we have cooking.
