Tomorrow, join Young Involved Philadelphia for a GOTV Social Hour with Isaiah Thomas at Frame! As an advocate and Majority Whip of Philadelphia City Council, Councilmember Isaiah Thomas has championed opportunities for young people, education, civic engagement, and stronger neighborhoods across the city. This is an opportunity for young leaders, organizers, and community members to connect directly with real changemakers and have a seat at the table shaping Philadelphia’s future. Join us for conversation, connection, and community as we mobilize voters and build power together ahead of Election Day. @yiphilly is proud to announce the panel for the @wtcgp 2026 Global Professional Summit during the Global Business Forum. We’re spotlighting Philadelphia’s emerging leaders on a global stage. This is the first time in 10+ years GBF has been in the United States, and I’m making sure our city’s young leaders don’t miss this opportunity. An in depth panel, a candid fireside chat, and a networking reception that connects executives and policymakers from around the world. Click the link in my bio to register.

Global business isn’t just about who’s in the room. It’s about who’s next. During the week of the 2026 WTCA’s Global Business Forum, we’re partnering with @yiphilly to host the Global Professional Summit—bringing together emerging leaders and global delegates for a night built around real conversation and connection. The evening starts with a candid panel on leadership, workforce growth, and what it takes to operate at a global level, followed by a networking reception that connects young professionals directly with executives and policymakers from around the world. If the Global Business Forum is where deals get done, this is where the next generation gets in the room. 📍 @independencebluecross | 13th Floor 🗓 Tuesday, April 21, 2026 🔗 in bio!

Last week, YiP hosted a panel discussion on social impact careers. We heard from young professionals who are working in higher education, policy research, workforce development, and systems-building to unpack where impact actually happens day to day. Learning from other young professionals empowers us to recognize where we can help shape the future of our city, even in unexpected places and roles.

Our board prep kick off event was par for the course: informative, fun, and driving young Philadelphians towards success. Earlier this month, our Spring 2026 cohort of Board Prep participants had the chance to meet one another and members of YiP’s board to kick off the program that is designed to prepare future leaders to serve on non-profit boards and give back to the city we all love.

Yesterday we had another great “How to Run for Committee Person” training, co-sponsored by @yiphilly and @5thsqadvocacy , and held at @phillyethics . With petition circulating starting next week, we are thrilled to see the excitement across the city around building a more responsive government that works for all of us. We also want to congratulate @yiphilly on their 25 year anniversary, as they were recognized last night by @ruephilacouncil with a resolution from City Council. Want to attend a training? Go to the link in bio to sign up for an upcoming event and read the guide.
