one last growth mindset thing OK !! but happy to announce that 2026 yabd is going to be better than 2025 yabd. just because were creating space to have better conversations!!!!! w you and within our team :) "we do weddings and hence we are..." damn.. crazy how time rly flies (its almost may wtheck) recently, we've had the opportunity to try soo many things - our first wedding fair, our first book, reworked many of our processes, went for workshops, spoke to so many talented individuals and today, (finally) we're doubling down on our whys. todays episode is about looking out for ordinary moments because thats what makes your session and your story original and the photographs and video clips were shot on a session with @gohforlauren and @azeure if we could just go back in time, we have never been about creating what shouts the loudest. and our response to an industry that is so so big on the bling and glamour was never to compete in that same direction. instead, we wanted to find our own voice even if it meant to answer in a lowercase with a different font. all that said, this has a been a great season for us - we are busy, and we're even more sure about our product, our approach and our priorities. we might be younger but we bring a wealth of experience from how we see and curate and the way we tell stories. (this might be the only time we're flexxing so please forgive us HAHA - just feeling a little fired up lately) and i guess this is where its at we are @yetanotherboringday lets romanticize your mundane together slowly but most definitely

to us, marriage is a promise and a choice, a promise to love and a choice to love even when times get tough. documenting that boring day for eunice and julius was memorable, not because we went to the spots that held memory for them but because they dated each other even through marriage. these are some of our favourites from that morning and we are soo so happy to be finally sharing these photographs from their post wedding session :') also to our muses @puggerfaceyay and @yewdubb , thank you for making this so easy. and showing us how loving can be easy. when debbie reached out, she told me she was worried bacon would be shy in front of camera. i told her if we had an ideal yabd clientele in the human world - it was the quiet humans and then i reassured her immediately by telling her : either way - bacon will just be going about his day like how you guys would :') and so, we did just that. a simple evening stroll that ended in the comforts of their first home. celebrating all the firsts!! also, was trying out a third voice on the post this time for the fun of it!! ngl abit difficult to channel a dog voice but.. on this episode of yetanotherboringday, (our first story of 2026, high pressure but ok la we are just going to stick to our comfort zone!!!) @markashi and i visited mac ritchie, interestingly this was our second time ever doing a shoot there and the best part was that were there to document @x_sihui running routine every week. this time, in non running gear, and with (now husband) jay hhaha :) quite interestingly and almost like a shift in headspace, sihui told me at the start: "it is such a odd feeling to not be getting into the running headspace at 630am" and i told her "thats exactly how it should be" a simple reset of how we view our routines in our lives - as constants that ground us. in the third hour of session - we headed back home and it was special because this was jay and sihuis first home, they didnt have routines set out in stone yet and so we approached the session in a way where it was how they wanted to envision their future day in a life to be. and i loved that it felt like this was the status quo for the longest time - it felt comfortable. at one point, @markashi also pointed out how the extended duration of the session from 2H to 3H allowed for intentional space and time - both for the couple to actually slow down and for ourselves to reach a productive pace. i couldn't agree more. this was just vv memorable, and simply for that one reason it was enough to make some changes from 2026 onwards, prewed sessions will be minimally 3H, and home session will still remain at 2H. for the sake of creating a safe space for all of us :) (ohyes, 2026 rate cards are up!!!) until the next mel

i guess i didnt make it for that one reflective post on the last day of 2025, BUT, heres to the micro adjustments (old habits brought over) i will be enforcing this year and as they always say if you announce what youre gonna do - the goals will usually will come to fruition. so here goes hahaha... to the people whom ive crossed paths with and been thanking the entire of last year - thank you for making year 1 full time possible. its really only just the beginning and i cant wait to show you a more distilled and focused @yetanotherboringday this year. mel
