As the story goes, Bass Coast was the first festival we ever attended together - and we haven’t missed a year since! For reasons both describable and not, this year was one of our faves. Reflecting her lived experience as a queer femme of Filipino-Italian heritage, she draws from a range of genres and influences to weave stories that are entrancing, subversive, and always dance-oriented. Lucci’s versatility has led her to play support for boundary-pushing artists including Maya Jane Coles and Daria Kolosova, and this past summer she has showcased her eclectic sound on stages such as Bass Coast, MEME, and Re-Union music festivals. Behind AWood's distinct energy is a deep love for electronic music. They have played at festivals such as Basscoast, Shambhala, and Re-Union, and have shared lineups with renowned techno artists at clubs and warehouses from Vancouver to Toronto. In between releases and gigs, AWood remains committed to paying it forward via volunteer teaching their @curve.yvr   Learning Curve workshops.
