Yeah Yeah Ye is graduating! My installation is showing now in the street of CSM KingsCross Campus, Come around and join the play!
Tremor Choir, 2025
Steel, wood
An installation composed by step, material, and imbalance.
I've been exploring performative madness as a means of escape, resistance, and collective illusion. This is a ritual field of transcendence, a stage that perform itself, waiting audiences to activate.
Polyphae
steel, copper
The foldable, multi-faced iron mask awaits your presence. It speaks of taming and being tamed, of imagined freedoms, and reflects our complex relationship with technology. It is both armor and restraint, a shell of power and a display of vulnerability. In the act of wearing or removing it, you are invited into a performance of control, identity, and shape-shifting.
I’m deeply grateful to the faculty especially my tutor for their support and insight throughout this journey, and special thanks to the metal workshop technicians for their endless patience and guidance during all the hands-on experiments.

Join us to experiment forms of expression as resilience:

Every culture has its own way of hiding truths: euphemisms, metaphors, rituals, humor. From political restrictions to family taboos, language becomes a site of negotiation.
This workshop explores how people encode, disguise, and reshape meaning when expression becomes difficult, treating “encryption” as both a linguistic invention and an emotional coping mechanism. It focuses on how language itself evolves through play, encryption, translation, and silence.

We keep moving, discussing what’s next — most of us juggling too much, working precariously, still trying to hold @translocation.research together. Then we realised: these stories never get told.
So here’s a bit about us, beyond the work.

We’re learning that how we fight — and how we pause — matters just as much as what we fight for.

Facilitation is a beautiful challenge! It’s about navigating group dynamics, emotional labour, and practical constraints. We’ve noticed that early-stage facilitators often start their journey without a shared language to describe these experiences.

When people ask about my spirit animal, the answer is chimera.
A chimera with the head of a lion, the body of a snowy owl, and a dragon’s head as tail. Or a misfit creature with mantis arms, a dragonfly’s body, and moth wings. And not only that:a monster that is hard yet viscous, stretched yet curled, heavy yet fragile.
Over the past year, without quite realising it, I have created many monsters. Even looking closely at the projects still in progress, I'm surrounded by them.
Hybrids of instinct and discipline, care and violence, fragments that refuse to settle into a single form—a body that holds contradiction without resolving it.
"My emotions are caught in a contradiction between attachment to control and fear of it.
My unspeakable love and hatred hover in mid-air—
unable to disappear,
unable to land."
𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
In 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘏𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘜𝘴 (Yunyi Ye @yeahyunyi ), participants tuned into the spatial rhythms of their inner landscapes, shaping paper sculptures that resonated with tension and support, making shared vulnerability a tangible, held space.
Nearby, 𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘉𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘉𝘦𝘢𝘵 (Moyra Cecilia Silva Rodriguez @moyra_silva ) channeled the collective pulse, shaking Peruvian Lima beans and moving in unison to build soundscapes that throbbed with both resistance and pure joy.
The energy surged into action in 𝘙𝘦𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘰𝘯! 𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵 (Spencer Yu @spencer_yuyu ), where designing a poster cracked open a platform to amplify queer and feminist energies, shaking off social pressure through defiant collage. This was creation as a shared force: each workshop a dynamic conduit for building community, focusing attention, and generating a powerful, new energy together.
