Test Knit slots are full. Thank you for your warm response 🤍✨ My latest FO is ready for test knitting. It looks like a lace shawl from my previous photos but it’s a lace camisole. Test knit details are as follows: Sizes 1 (2, 3, 4) Finished bust circumference 100 (120, 140, 160) cm 39¼ (47¼, 55, 63) inches Yarn Fingering weight Deadline 28 May 2026 The construction is similar to #luminostee, using chevrons and triangles. This design has a floral theme with Estonian waterlily lace, ripple lace and embroidery-like dandelion stitches. The drawstring allows for adjustable fit and gathers at the neckline. It is great on its own, or layered over another camisole, a light tee, sheer top or a dress. There are limited spots for each size. Please DM to apply. Public account on Instagram and an account on Ravelry are required.

When life gives you lemons. Just gone through a crazy few weeks with sleep issues, mood swings, dealing with leaks from my upstairs neighbour wreaking havoc in my bathrooms and kitchen, the sad passing of the same neighbour, helping my friend with depression, and the hardest part, my mum being in the hospital for the second time this year. I forgot all about making lemonade as I was simply coping with multiple things. Somehow, I managed an FO using whatever pockets of time I could find. Knitting remains my refuge through tough times. The worst is probably not over as the leaks are still happening and my mum needs my care and time more than ever, but today I’m taking a day off to stay away from noise, heat, crowd and all the stimulations that come with commuting, to make a nutritious breakfast and coffee and to finally take some pictures of my work in daylight. I realised that progress photos are missing this time as my mind was so scattered and I was also dealing with yarn chicken and having to modify and re-knit the design. Anyway, any guess what I knitted? I’m late according to my plans, but this time I will let go, just do my best and celebrate when the pattern is out.

Do you collect yarn labels? This is Pandora by @papiput which is soft and cool against the skin, so I’m hoping that what’s on my needles becomes a breezy summer top. Pandora is such an intriguing name. It makes me wonder why the yarn is given this name. But the pretty yarn label is so eye-catching too. I love the colour scheme, how the blue is found on the leaf on the brand name, as well as on the cute jewel stud, the bold handwritten BLANK for the colourway, and that it says “colors from nusantara”. Aren’t there a few things that you’re curious about when you see this label? I’m curious to know what insect it is on the label, for example. Who designed the label? Where is Nusantara? To save you from searching, Nusantara is a city under construction that, upon completion, would be the capital city of Indonesia. Isn’t it interesting that the yarn is pointing to a city that is still being built? Why is there a new capital city? There must be some story here about place and time. This label is going to my yarn label collection, together with @lanivendole ‘s label with watercolour sweaters and brass eyelet, @hedgehogfibres holographic label, @amirisushop label with a slit and illustrated walnut closure (instead of simply glued), just to name a few favourites. To me, yarn labels are art, not just a piece of paper to hold the yarn together. Do you collect yarn labels too? #papiputyarn #papiputpandora

I don’t often crochet, let alone make amigurumi, but my niece asked me to teach her how to make a crochet horse, so I made one alongside her, step by step. I can’t recommend the pattern which we got from Etsy, as shamed to say, it turned out to be an AI generated pattern with many mistakes and missing information. In other words, we had to make modifications in many parts. The yarn though, I can highly recommend! It’s Ragamuffin, a soft fluffy chenille produced and sold by @tinyrabbithole . The horse turns out really soft and cuddly. Crochet was my first love since I was a kid. I had a great time keeping in touch with it 🖤

Necktie Recipe wouldn’t exist without the amazing knitters in the test team. For years, I’ve wanted to create a “recipe-style” knitting pattern, one that gives knitters the freedom to choose their own yarn and gauge, and customise sizes with simple calculations. As this is my first recipe-style pattern, testing felt more important than ever. I’m incredibly grateful to the wonderful test knitters whose thoughtful feedback helped refine the pattern and gave me the confidence to share it with everyone. Thank you ladies for helping bring this design to life! Promotional price for the pattern ends after 18 March. Get your copy soon if you would like to enjoy the discount. The Windsor Knot is symmetrical and wider than the Four-in-Hand knot. This was the knot I first learned when I was a high school student. I attended a very strict school with a very active discipline master, so there was no chance of wearing my tie sloppily, and certainly no place for a neon tie like this! Make a tie with Necktie Recipe, and experiment with different ways of styling it. Launching this week. Yarn @parkourkitties in the colourway Radioactive Jelly Beans Check out the other reel too to see the Four-in-Hand Knot which is simpler and has a lovely asymmetry to it. #necktierecipebyyamagara

Not the only way to tie a knitted necktie but here’s the classic Four-in-Hand knot. Save this for when you want a simple, slightly relaxed knot that is just right for a knitted tie. Made with Necktie Recipe, a customizable pattern to create ties in your choice of yarn, gauge and size. Launching this week. Check out the other reel too to see the Windsor Knot which is wider and symmetrical. Yarn @isageryarn Trio to create a colour block version in a summer yarn. #necktierecipebyyamagara
