A voice interrupts, says she.
A ghostly utterance, a chance encounter, and the non-linearity of time serve as entry points for the first collaboration between gervaise alexis savvias (
@gervais.e ) and Andreas Yakovlev Michaelides (
@yakovlev.studio ). Moving away from the audio-essay as a strict and somewhat–clinical format, this series of soundscapes is envisioned as a way to commune with the spectral chorus that runs throughout savvias’ text, ‘notes towards an otherwise’ (Plot(ting), 2025). The ghost in the machine meets sonic manipulation meets the little beating breath of the canary in the coal mine. The brevity of time, and a lingering presence urges us forward—towards an otherwise.
