Ilorin innovation hub programme kick off!!! A technology and innovation home in Kwara. The first of its kind in WEST AFRICA!! Powered by IHS The Ilorin Innovation Hub is a planned ICT Centre that will facilitate the growth of technology in Kwara State and encourage the youth in the state to gain skills needed for the modern global workforce. It will be a state-of-the-art facility built by the State Government and occupied by private sector technology-related companies who will each have their individual mode of operations but will all have the common goal of promotion and growth of modern technology among the youth in Kwara State. The Innovation Hub will provide a conducive and enabling environment for youth to thrive and succeed using modern technology. They will learn how to use technology to solve problems and create commercial value. It is most crucial for the State to facilitate local participation in the digital revolution as the entire world is now moving to online services and technology has become the most important tool for survival in the world. Youth will be able to learn software engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, virtual reality, graphic design, social media, digital marketing and many other modern technologies via the training programs and activities at the Innovation Hub. They will also learn non-technical skills like project management, product management, customer service and business development. KWARALEARN : How We Documented the Journey (2022–2025) It’s been a privilege documenting the story of KwaraLEARN from inception ; a transformative initiative that redefined foundational learning through technology-driven education and innovative teaching methodologies. These slides📸 can hardly capture the depth of a 3+ year journey. From the pilot phase of the initiative to teachers’ training and retraining, school enrollment drives, steering committee sessions, board meetings, classroom moments and countless stories from the field - every frame tells a part of the impact. Beyond the policies and programs, the real success of KwaraLEARN is reflected in the children in our public primary schools, the teachers embracing new methods and the future being shaped in classrooms across Kwara State. I still remember the little moments, from the laughter during fittings to the quiet frustration when patterns are looking like calculus and machines wouldn’t cooperate, to the spark in their eyes when they nailed a design for the first time. On graduation day, I watched them sit in front of the camera, sharing their stories during interviews, and I thought, this is why I do this.😊😊 I’m super happy and proud to see their growth, confidence and proof that with dedication, you can create the life you imagine.
