What a great opportunity to be here at the ASEAN-Indo Pacific Forum attended by public and private global leaders including President @bongbongmarcos .
I’m here together with five other tech startups from the Philippines as Race Ya @yourraceyaya 🇵🇭 to join the discussions and explore collaborations for
common interest, namely green infrastructure and resilient supply chains, digital transformation and creative economy, and sustainable and innovative financing.
Day 1 was packed including an opening ceremony with Indonesian president Joko Widodo addressing us, our president in attendance, too.
Hit me up if you’re in Jakarta and would want to meet.

Many of our young, less experienced athletes placed in the top 10/20. It is amazing to see them give it all their best- no excuses.
It wasn’t an easy journey, especially with no funding. Many athletes qualified for the team each year since 2023, some of them comes without a decent trail running shoes or even a passport—just sheer desire to compete and the hope of exploring opportunities for a better life through sports. I remember meeting @johnstingray a few years ago-exactly how some of our young athletes are right now. He started with just 200 pesos in hand to join a 10k race, just wanting to run and the rest is history. I’ve always said, there’s only one Stingray, but can have more athletes like him if given the chance. So, as Stingray said in our celebration- we claim - next time, 3 golds! And as our team captain Arnie said, our athletes should just continue to train and they can be John Ray with the continuing support of @philippinetrailrunning
Thanks to our dedicated officers and volunteers who continue to support this cause, sharing their own resources—financial, time, and talent - selfless dedication even with no recognition or return.
@philippinetrailrunning will always aim to create opportunities for those who deserve them- those who are committed to be a better athlete - for themselves, for the community who support them, for our country and to give glory to the giver of the gift they have. 🙏🥇🥈🇵🇭
Smile even when you’re suffering; it will still hurt, but at least you’ll look better in photos. That’s exactly what I did.
@hk100ultra was stunning. Let these photos walk you through the course—from sands to summits. Everything was fine until the 25k mark. As our @philippinetrailrunning athletes call it, ‘baklay baklay lang.’ I walked through, enjoyed it, took plenty of videos, and even jotted down tips for our athletes preparing for the 100k next. I left just enough buffer to avoid the cut-off.
With zero fitness for this (don’t do this!), I was confident I could finish, relying on my memory of the first 25k from the last time I did the 100k. But those last 8k were a different story. I never imagined Hong Kong had such technical trails. But this is exactly what we signed up for—those moments when you question if you can do it, and those times you just want to roll yourself to the finish line. When all you have left is #GRIT to keep moving forward. Call it dramatic, but I’ve missed this. Having been immersed in mostly masters athletics competitions over the past two years—where there’s not a fraction of a second for drama—I’ve truly missed this kind of challenge.
I finished - the third and I can’t wait to take on the full 100k next time!
Much admiration for this race, where every detail is designed to give us the best experience—markings, aid stations, volunteers, photographers, and cheerers and of course, the lovely tandem of Janet and Steve.
Race Ya!

Back to kindergarten in my pole vault training 🤣
Thanks @edobee@judith_staples for the impromptu 101 PV and for the company, Ricky and Cate!
Not yet sure if I’ll add this to my events in the Philippine Masters Athletics Championship #PMAC2026 (but madali ako mabudol, just need to show up for training)

(Ps. I was using Ricky’s pv so that was too tall and heavy for me.)
Trail Runners in the city.
Road to 100m trail with 100m of chat over breakfast. Just perfect prep for a 100m race. “M” subject to your own guess.

Smiles, tears, applause, grandeur. But behind that.
AND LOTS OF HURDLES WE ALL SURPASSED INDIVIDUALLY AND AS A ONE TEAM. - Each athlete who joined, organizing team and each team members and supporters, our government counterparts, Philtra volunteers, officers and leaders who were part of making it happen.
For His Glory.
Play this in full if you can
A HEAD FULL OF DREAMS
Oh, I think I’ve landed
In a world I hadn’t seen
When I’m feeling ordinary
When I don’t know what I mean
Oh, I think I’ve landed
Where there are miracles at work
For the thirst and for the hunger
Come the conference of birds
And say it’s true
It’s not what it seems
Leave your broken windows open
And in the light just streams
And you get a head
A head full of dreams
You can see the change you want to
Be what you want to be
When you get a head
A head full of dreams
It’s a love, I’ve just been spoken
With a head full, a head full of dreams
Oh, I think I’ve landed
Where there are miracles at work
There you’ve got me open handed
When you got a lost of words
PS. Kung yan din ang pangarap mo, sumama kang mangarap din or hayaan mong lumipad ang nangangarap. Clipping one’s wing won’t make you fly.
🌟🏃♂️ Batang PHILTRA - Aningalan, Antique🌿
Batang PHILTRA was held for the first time in Antique - the trails that have shaped trail running champions! Kids under 12 years old had the time of their lives running in their beautiful home 💛
This grassroots program aims to inspire a new generation of trail runners to love their own place, appreciate their natural surroundings, and to have fun and just be kids. ✨
We hope more children find joy in movement outdoors! 🌄
