I was sent a pair of the @hawkwell_active On Cloud line shoes last September and was able to try them out for a few runs before I left.
I was surprised that, despite the brand’s low price, the shoes had great cushioning and bounce. That was perfect since I’ve been managing some knee discomfort since I got back. The knit mesh upper is breathable—ideal for our weather.
I got the pink color, though they have a wide range of options. I would’ve preferred something more subtle, but honestly, for the price of one high-end pair, you could get a whole collection of these.
They’re great for walking and gym workouts, too.
As for trails—maybe for light road-to-trail terrain. Let’s give that a try sometime.

While the @philippinetrailrunning team was doing speed work at @campjohnhayph , two new trail runners were born today! Our filmmaker @jowash48 and team physical therapist @camillethept had their baptism on the trails—and they sure had fun!
Oh, how I wish we had a CJH in Manila, where you can bathe in the forest before the world even wakes up.
