What a year 2023 was! My first year seriously competing in 14 years, and the first year I could compete as myself, against my peers. So many new friends, so many highs and lows. My goal this year wasn't about reaching a certain rating like a lot of players (still, 900 would've been nice 😅), instead I set out to give visibility to trans women playing disc golf, and show that we have the same strengths and weaknesses that cis women have. I know a few people weren't interested in considering that, but the positivity that everyone welcomed me with says I showed at least most of the people I played with or against, or who watched me play, that I throw well not because I went through male puberty - but because I've been playing disc golf for 21 years. This off season, it's time to work on my mental game, my putt, and get some more strength training in, to keep from having my back force me out of any events next year, and see if I can squeeze any more distance out of my form. Can't wait to see you all on the course next year! 🙌💜🏳️⚧️

Today marks the second anniversary between Christina (she/they) and myself. @cwahsquon
Christina doesn't pop up on this account all that often - but the amount of work they do in supporting Queer Disc Golf is endless. I'm very much an always "on the go type of person" and Christina reminds me that it's okay to slow down.
I am so lucky to have found such a beautiful partner who fully believes in me and what we've started. They've been an anchor through some very difficult moments and I'm so grateful I've found a co-pilot for this wild thing called life. Thank you for loving and accepting me for me ❤️🌈🏳️⚧️

The first Chains for Change is officially complete.
Thank you PEI - we came with heavy hearts from the week that was, and we will continue to fight to create space for LGBTQ folks.
Thank you to @freakflagoffire@throwyourownwayproshop@discgolfpei@upstreetbrewing@huckitdiscgolf for all your generous support and efforts into helping our ideas become a reality. Thank you to @peitransnetwork for all the important work you do and keep doing. We are glad to have the opportunity to work and collaborate with such a dedicated group of queer and trans folks.
We were able to raise a total of $1600 - 1250 which has been donated to the PEI Trans network and $350 that has been donated towards our friends and team members in PEI. Our hope is that this money will help to continue the important work needed to work towards safer spaces for Queer and Trans folks in Disc Golf.
There is a huge list of sponsors - and we will put together a sponsor thank you this week. Thank you for everything- we could not have done it without out you. Truly.

We were able to raise close to 500 dollars this weekend. Most of our costs have been out of pocket - so this money will help us to continue doing what we love and know in our hearts is the right thing to do.
Huge congrats to our team member @katthrowsdiscs for her first FPO A tier win. We are so thrilled you are on the team and are amazed by the way you carry yourself on and off the course.
