Spring Ball Wrap Up ✂️ with @armywp_football Spring practice came and went quickly. It was a challenging six weeks, nonetheless we were able to bring it home. Grateful for the trust that the players and staff have in me to do what I get and love to do! Who would’ve thought, but God! Insane to say that my college career at Montclair State University has officially concluded! But I am entirely grateful for what the Lord has done for me and in me! God has been extremely faithful to me, through all the foolishness and sin. He was with me even when I battled depression, anxiety, and suicide. Though I came to Montclair State to learn and grow in my craft of sports content creation, he used this place to set up his divine appointment with me to change my life from the inside-out! He left the 99 for the 1, and rescued me from the deep pit I was in. He showed me how valuable I was to Him, and gave me the privilege to shine His light to every place I go. I don’t say this lightly at all: I would not be alive today had it not been for God meeting me where I was at and putting me back together! And to graduate from Montclair State after all that I’ve been through, and the opportunities he’s blessed me with gives me all the more reason to praise Him! Don’t know where He will take me next, but it’s safe to say I don’t have to worry. This past football season, I had the opportunity to be a freelance editor for @collegegameday and @espn after my internship with them this past summer. Thankful I was allowed to post this TV commercial cut and social cut of the upcoming Rose Bowl matchup! Philippians 4:6-7 - Do not be anxious for anything, but in every circumstance with prayer and petition with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding stands guard over your heart and mind in Christ. I’ve learned about the importance of trusting the Lord! Knowing that he is in control of every situation and that we should not worry brings an indescribable peace, and more of a reason to obey! I wasn’t making any money producing content for Montclair State athletics as it was an internship. So, I needed freelance opportunities to help keep me afloat financially while being a full-time student this past semester. One morning during the last week of my internship with ESPN, I was praying for freelance gigs to come my way during the school semester; LITERALLY THAT SAME DAY, I got an offer to work with CGD for their social content site announcement promos! Excited to do more work with ESPN and the GameDay squad in the future! Moral of the story: God knows what we need, therefore we shouldn’t worry. I believe it’s important to pour into others. Luke 12:48 says, “To whom much is given, much is required.” God has blessed me with an abundance of knowledge with content creation and an influence to steward well for His glory, always pointing back to the source of where I get my character, wisdom, and creative ideas from. Last month, I had the opportunity to speak at one of my professor’s class at @montclair_ccom as a guest speaker! I got to speak to some of my fellow students about how I go about pre-production, cultivating ideas, sound design, post-production processes, etc. It gave me joy to impart what I have to those who are hungry to create like I am. I have learned this past year that my gifts are not meant solely for me, but for those God has called me to impact. For students who look like me seeing me doing what I do can bring great perspective and confidence to their life, if I can do it so can they! Honored to have such a privilege that I don’t deserve. And yet God still blesses me beyond measure! And yes, I will eventually down the line be teaching tutorials, just give me time. ❤️ #teaching #sowingseeds #thankful #blessed
