Per Simone, proprietario di un negozio di abbigliamento vintage, tutto parte dai mercati di abbigliamento del nonno e dagli scatoloni in cui è cresciuto fin da bambino.
Tra antiquariato, denim, workwear e oggetti vissuti, nasce una passione per tutto ciò che porta addosso il tempo.
“Mi hanno sempre affascinato le cose vecchie in generale.”
Una passione che lo ha portato anche alle Harley-Davidson d’epoca, perché tra moto e abbigliamento vintage il legame è naturale.
La giacca è una Hooded Wading Jacket 1437 di Filson, giacca da pesca vintage anni ’90 in Tin Cloth cerato.
Made in USA.
Anche il gilet è un vintage Filson da caccia, produzione anni ’80.

Entrambi trovati circa 10 anni fa in un mercatino a Brick Lane
Some people become passionate about clothing.
Others grow up inside it.
For Simone, owner of a vintage clothing store, it all started with his grandfather’s clothing markets and the cardboard boxes he grew up around as a child.
Between antiques, denim, workwear, and well-worn objects, a passion was born for everything that carries the marks of time.
“I’ve always been fascinated by old things in general.”
A passion that also led him to vintage Harley-Davidsons, because vintage motorcycles and clothing naturally belong together.
The jacket is a Filson Hooded Wading Jacket 1437, a vintage ’90s fishing jacket made from waxed Tin Cloth.

The vest is also a vintage Filson hunting piece from the 1980s.

Both were found 10 years ago at a market on Brick Lane

Ci sono capi che, con il tempo, finiscono per diventare parte della propria storia.
Per Lorenzo — promoter e organizzatore di eventi nel mondo del clubbing e dei concerti, oltre che collezionista ossessivo di vintage americano anni ’50, ’60 e ’70 — questo Barbour Burghley del 1992 è diventato esattamente questo.
“Ci sono legato soprattutto per un fatto protettivo. Quando ci sono giornate veramente piovose è un capo che ti protegge da tutte le intemperie.”
Un Barbour Burghley in cotone cerato, nato negli anni ’80 per il mondo equestre.
Lungo fino al ginocchio, costruito per affrontare pioggia, vento e giornate intere all’aperto. Uno dei modelli più iconici mai prodotti da Barbour, insieme allo Spey A130.
Questo esemplare porta il celebre stemma “Three Crowns”, il marchio con le tre corone che identificava i Barbour prodotti sotto Royal Warrant, simbolo dello storico legame del brand con la famiglia reale britannica.
Il suo arriva da Roma, da uno standista dello storico mercato del lunedì di via Sannio.
Comprato circa dieci anni fa.
Da allora, semplicemente, continua a fare il suo lavoro.

For Lorenzo — a promoter and event organizer in the clubbing and live music scene, as well as an obsessive collector of American vintage from the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s — this 1992 Barbour Burghley has become exactly that.
“I’m attached to it mainly because of the protection it gives. When the weather gets really rainy, it’s a piece that shields you from all the elements.”
A waxed cotton Burghley, originally designed in the 1980s for the equestrian world.
Knee-length, built to face rain, wind, and long days outdoors. One of the most iconic models ever produced by Barbour, alongside the Spey A130.
This particular piece carries the famous “Three Crowns” emblem — the mark used on Barbour garments produced under Royal Warrant, symbolizing the brand’s historic connection to the British royal family.
His came from Rome, bought from a vendor at the historic Monday market on Via Sannio.
Purchased around ten years ago.
And ever since, it has simply kept doing its job.

Il jazz, per lui, non arriva dopo: è qualcosa che c’è sempre stato, già dentro casa. A un certo punto suo padre gli dice una cosa semplice — “se continui, ci arrivi” — e quella frase resta lì.
Nel 2008 va a Umbria Jazz con un amico e rimane colpito da quello che vede davvero: studenti e musicisti che suonano fino alle cinque del mattino, senza fermarsi. È lì che qualcosa cambia, nel modo di vivere la musica.

For him, jazz doesn’t come later — it has always been there, starting at home. At one point, his father tells him something simple — “if you keep going, you’ll get there” — and that line stays with him.
In 2008, he goes to Umbria Jazz with a friend and is struck by what he sees: students and musicians playing until five in the morning, without stopping. That’s when something shifts in the way he approaches music.
