More than 250 cheeses line the counter, beginning with Ticino: raw milk forms that change valley by valley, shaped by the grass, the altitude, the hands that age them. Latteria San Marco The silver pot has been on the stove since 1965. A small trattoria tucked into via San Marco 24 in Milan, nine tables, thirty seats, a menu that has not changed in decades. Word spread fast, especially among those who understood that true elegance needs nothing added. The world of fashion and design made it an icon. It still is. These walls could tell a thousand stories. Love stories, important deals closed over a good meal, and many a solitary lunch that found its comfort here. Since 1965, Maria Maggi and her husband Arturo have kept this place alive with the same dedication as always. Simple, seasonal ingredients, a care for every dish that you feel from the very first bite. Arturo has a gift for the unexpected in the simplest of things. His sauces are a secret passed down by him alone — that something extra that turns a simple dish into something unforgettable.
