I’m LaShondra, a mom, women’s empowerment facilitator, program developer, wellness advocate, and yes totally obsessed with yarn 🧶💛.

We’re especially thrilled to welcome Meghan, a talented instructor who discovered needlepoint as part of her physical therapy journey. What began as a path to healing has grown into a creative passion, and she’s bringing that experience and joy straight to our community.

All classes hold intention.
But the class @nascent.natasha and I led for the @millneckschool for the Deaf became something much deeper than we imagined.
Teaching knitting in a room where communication looked different helped reveal something important — connection was never about the words. It was about the moment. The patience. The presence. The feeling of being seen, included, and capable.
That experience shifted something in me.
It made me realize Woven Intent was never just about knitting.
It was about creating space to slow down.
Space to connect without pressure.
Space to build confidence, expression, community, and care through making with your hands.
In that room, knitting became a language all on its own.
And that moment reminded me this work is so much bigger than yarn.
This is how it starts...

Through Woven Intent’s I'm A Limited Edition, enrichment progtam we partner with homeschool groups, camps, non profits and youth programs to create hands-on experiences where kids don’t just learn how to knit…
they learn patience, focus, creativity, and self-expression.

Experiencing the shearing process at Sheep to Shawl @huntingtonhistoricalsociety sparked a deeper interest in hand knitting across the group.
The demonstration table created space for hands-on learning—where everyone could step in, practice loops, and begin their own connection to the craft.
