Production Design and Prop Making for @witchesofpoolbottom directed by @avabounds 🪩 I’ve only just got round to posting about this but it was a pleasure to do production design on this beautiful short film with the loveliest cast and crew! Making giant Q-tips, a collosal waxing strip, huge needle, rigging a disco ball and many more fun things! Behind the scenes of working on Witches of Pool Bottom (@witchesofpoolbottom ) 🏊‍♀️ - a crazy, weird and absolutely beautiful short film. This week was full of experimentation: figuring out practical effects with props, moulding a larger than life puss zit missile in just a couple of minutes, and testing out different ways of pulling all sorts of things out of people’s mouths with fishing wire. I even found myself briefly standing in as our main character on camera. Just a peaceful scene of a woman tracking the camera shots, the dancers, the actors, the script, the special effects, the directors notes, the costumes and hair, the opening positions, the closing positions, the eyelines, the slates, the timings, and, most importantly, where my cup of tea is, ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Man, I *love* my job, and I especially loved working on @witchesofpoolbottom with the hugely talented cast and crew pulled together by the incredible @avabounds . Expect more BTS picture spam soon!
