We’ll be celebrating two decades since the planting of our original Findon Park vineyard with a weekend among the vines this June.

🎶 There are still tickets remaining for Saturday 27th June - a full day of wine, food and live music in the heart of the vineyard.
Expect Wiston wines flowing throughout the day alongside live performances from Wellington Wailers, Tom Abercrombie, Sistie Moose and Dave Clifton, with evening sets from Ali T and Amber Durrant as the sun goes down.
We’ll be joined by our friends @safaripizzacompany , @thenordicsmokery with their fire cooked salmon, @_chunka_munka_ and @mialls for something sweet, plus exceptional coffee from @castironroaster

Although we proudly serve our own Wiston sparkling wines here at Chalk, our restaurant wine list is also carefully curated by the team to champion producers whose philosophy and values feel closely aligned with our own.
One of those is The Earth Beneath Our Feet, a South African wine project founded by Sam in 2020 with a vision to do something different within the wine industry. Moving to Franschhoek to launch the project, Sam set out to shine a light on the men and women who spend their lives working in the vineyards, whilst creating a model that gives growers a fairer financial return for their skill, care and hard work.
Every bottle carries the handwritten words and story of the grower behind the wine, connecting the people at the table directly to the people tending the vines. As part of their model, 100% of the profit generated from each vineyard block is transferred back to the grower who farms it.
The wine currently featured on our list at Chalk is their Syrah 2021, grown by Stanley T, who has worked this steep and rugged vineyard site in Franschhoek for over 13 years. The vines sit on an incredibly rocky mountainside with nutrient poor sandstone soils, producing a wine layered with red berries, pepper and wild rosemary.
What we particularly love about The Earth Beneath Our Feet is the honesty behind it all, wines that not only reflect the landscape they come from, but also the people whose hands shape them every day.
We’re proud to share Stanley’s Syrah with our guests at Chalk, and to support producers creating a more thoughtful and sustainable future for winemaking.

Join us this summer for our Vineyard Explorer Tour, a guided walking experience through our hidden South Downs vineyards. Along the 4.1km route, you’ll discover the local flora and fauna, wander through the vines with your guide, then settle into Findon Park Vineyard for a tasting of Wiston wines surrounded by the very vines they come from.
To finish, enjoy a generous picnic lunch of charcuterie and cheese platters, focaccia and seasonal salads, served alfresco in the vineyard.

Following the launch of our collaboration with Simon Rogan, we’re delighted to be joining the Henrock team for a special one night dinner in the Lake District this June.
Created in collaboration with Henrock's head chef Mark McCabe, Umbel Grouphead sommelier Valentin Mouillard and our winemaker Marcus Rayner-Ward, the evening will bring together Henrock’s seasonal tasting menu with a selection of Wiston wines, including the Wiston x Simon Rogan Sparkling Rosé.
Set within the beautiful surroundings of @linthwaitehouse , it promises to be a memorable evening shaped by a shared philosophy of provenance, seasonality and thoughtful hospitality.
