A gifted roller blind returns to the window in disguise.
As boxes, it creates a hiding place behind glass—contradictory, revealing.
Each time I retrieve my headphones from a bag, they excavate metallic objects gathering at the deep end.

This morning we installed the artwork at @window135 , the wonderful community art space run by Meena and Tim on New Cross Road.
It’s up until 15th April. Come by for the opening April 9th 6-8pm for an intimate, stripped down performance of songs from Pain Will Polish Me, projections and a zine.
Full performance launch shows 25th April in Brighton @lovethyneighbr@thefolklorerooms and 30th May Finsbury Park Picturehouse.

mixed dog hair
Together, we brush as an act out of love;
you hold one end whilst i hold the other.
A ceremony, a ritual, an event for the day
to be done for hours until you no longer wish to play.
Pat pat pat, gnashes out
and slobber on slow decline.
All these strokes you deserve;
for simply being mine.
Golden locks, silky curls,
in such unity they twirl.
SUCH a good boy and of course, a good girl !!
An admiration of our love language to man’s best friend, through the act of a brush stroke.
