Truth is that Wind Mountain Ranch is the modern pnw ranch venue of our dreams, which we created for you 🌾 best part?
You don’t have to get married here to stay with us. We have seven cabins that are available to rent on airbnb, right in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge.
The ranch is evolving constantly, and lately it has felt like a reflection of life 🌝🌾
We don’t always know where we are headed, or where we will land. Most of the time it’s a process of paying attention and being patient along the way. Trusting instincts. Having faith you’ll get there. Looking, listening, making choices as answers reveal themselves.
Moving through the unknown, noticing how it feels as you go. Holding beauty close. Trusting that where you land can be more extraordinary than you ever could have imagined.
We came up with the name for our planting aesthetic well before we planted—The Western Thicket. It felt like the only way to turn a feeling into something tangible.
This phase of the project is nearly complete. Spring is in full bloom, events are rocking, and we are so excited to watch everything grow.

We planted a wide range of stunning grasses last year and watched them grow with impressive speed. What you see here: Karl Foerster feather reed grass for structure in the back, blue fescue for soft movement through the middle, and pink spiraea at the edge to ground it all. Better than we could have even imagined — ridiculously excited to continue our western thicket planting journey this spring 🌾
