Went to the iconic @gallerieaccademiavenezia dell'Accademia di Venezia and saw so many Great works of Domenico Tintoretto, and Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. This very dark 1591 Portrait of the Confreres of the Merchants' School was one of my faves, but sadly my phone couldn't find any of my friends portrayed. Seems I don't know any of the tyrannical merchants of Venice... @Mary

If you are in Somerset, you can decide on whether to follow cheddar Cheese or Star Wars, or the 17th century Whitehorse in the Hills, or the Tor, or Charlotte Humpson‘s pathways and circles or just hit the road and follow the hedges…
We have arrived in Somerset UK on our way to Venice and almost immediately been spiritualized by the Glastonbury area with our hosts, @terryflaxton and @charlottehumpston . There’s almost nothing in the world now that doesn’t center around the Tor!

I raced uptown to Butler Library @columbia to see the @meghitchcockartist 's curated show on artist that use concrete text as the center of their work, CONTEXT: Art, and especially a special performance by that I have heard about and always wanted to see, AIR, a score for breath by @audra.wolo In music notation, a breath mark is a symbol for a performer to take a breath or to make a slight pause, similar to the comma in many written languages. This score was created by Audra Wolowiec with commas from the United States Constitution as a collective sounding, a chorus of breath. Performers: Alisa Besher, Clae Rountree, Kyoko Kitamura, Steven Gonzalez. So timely and worth the trek!!!!!
Close-ups of some of the fantastic new paintings by artist and pioneer @nancyburson@heft_gallery opening last Saturday. these works manage to be intimate, cosmic, energetic, embodied, optical, obsessive, and expansive all at once. You can go into them. Nancy is one of the very few iconic artists who have created a lifetime set of inquiries and artworks at the top of her game. These ain’t no flash in the pan works. What does it mean to be part of humankind? What can we see and what we channel?
