Quiet late night practice learning new reels and jigs for the @ponsonbysocial gig on the 12th of March.
This one's a happy reel entitled Bonnie O'Whalsey.
From what info I can find it is originally from the Shetlands and is inspired by a small fishing village called Whalsey, which, was nicknamed the Bonnie Isle by fisherman in the early 19th century because of its abundance of flowers along the coastline. Flowerππ£:))

I'm super excited to be playing with a brand new band, 'Keiko and The Friendly Whalers', this coming Thursday at 8-10pm at @audio.foundation . This is a part of the new(ish) curated @_theloom_ series that started up this year. π
I will be playing some new and old tunes as well as arrangements of some folk music that I love dearly. β€οΈ
