Better late than never, our May schedule is here! 💫 We are happy to welcome back Krakerjack and Bridget Kelly later this month! Our regular events such as Sunday Jazz, Swing Jazz Jams and open mics will also return 🎤🎷 We’ve got events with multiple headliners such as the Juke Joint Revue this weekend (featuring English Locust, Planet & Vic Manuel and the Manuelitos) as well and Brock Alexander and Bri Louise closing out the month with velvety vocals 🌟 Don’t forget the weekly meditation on Wednesdays (5pm) as well as tarot readings on Thursdays (bookings through @arbor_tarot ) 🌿 We’ll see you at the Undercurrent! 💃

The Undercurrent presents The Other Side of the Sunset! Join us for a panel discussion on recent immigration to Aotearoa, focusing particularly on the impact of Italian culture and Italian-Maori cross-cultural understanding. Antonella Sarti Evans will read from her latest book The Other Side of the Sunset. We welcome also the participation of the journalist and playwright Dave Armstrong and the Maori art connoisseur and heir to Sciascia legacy, Tumarangai Sciascia and poet and publisher Michael O’Leary. It will be possible to purchase Antonella’s book at a discounted price on the day. The Undercurrent presents Brio Trio! Brio Trio, made up of Bri Louise (Vocals), Evie Patterson (Bass) and Liam Reburn (Guitar and Vocals), with guest players, are a soulful and swinging project. They blend jazz, blues, and R&B into originals which are grounded in storytelling to resonate with their audience through honesty and shared experience.
