Didn't catch his name, but the warmth of this gentleman at @swingtoystokyo in Shimo-kitazawa said everything. A tiny shop packed with wonder, tucked into one of Tokyo's most lovely neighbourhoods.

This is a portrait of Mayu @xr___s238 /, the manager of the Ryokan @luck_you_kyoto where we stayed in Kyoto. From the moment we met her, we were completely enchanted by her warmth and friendliness the kind that makes you feel like a new friend rather than just another guest.
When Agatha accidentally left their boots behind at the hotel, Mayu didn't hesitate. Even after returning home following a long day's work, she took it upon herself to arrange a courier and ensured the boots were delivered to us all the way in Tokyo. It was the sort of quiet, extraordinary generosity that you rarely encounter and never forget.
We feel truly lucky to have crossed paths with her. And a very special thank you to our beloved @seedkeeper , who gifted us this wonderful experience.

I took a picture of the warm and lovely Hannah at @miamia_tokyo , a cute and cosy coffee shop near Higashi-Nagasaki Station.
The coffee and the pastry were delicious and we managed to have a tiny chat with my very limited japanese. I hope to get back there soon.

While waiting for my family outside a shop in a Nagoya metro station, a boy named Shinzo came up and started chatting with me. We had a wonderful exchange, and he told us his dream was to take care of elephants when he grew up. He then shared a little secret: in Japanese, elephant is Zō making his name, Shin-ZO, a hidden clue to his future.
Before we parted ways, I asked if I could take his photo and handed him my card, suggesting he check with his parents first. They reached out shortly after and couldn't have been more lovely.
東京の地下鉄駅構内の店先で家族を待っていた時、シンゾウという男の子が話しかけてきました。楽しい会話を交わし、彼は将来象の世話をするのが夢だと話してくれました。そして、ちょっとした秘密を教えてくれました。日本語で象は「ゾウ」なので、彼の名前「シゾウ」は未来へのヒントになっているというのです。
別れる前に、写真を撮らせてもらえないかと尋ね、名刺を渡しました。その際、まずはご両親に確認するようにと伝えました。すると、ご両親からすぐに連絡があり、とても素敵な方々でした。
