June 2025 has been a dream come true in so many ways. I try to frequently remind myself that, even with copious amounts of hard work and moments of good fortune, it’s truly a blessing to make a living while loving what I do. But to do it with @cynthiaerivo … well, “rare” doesn’t do it justice. Making “I Forgive You” was a labor of love, joy, pain, and everything in between. Cynthia, I witnessed you bare your soul, and completely surrender to the heart of the process. Congratulations on birthing a work of art so layered that it will continue to be reborn for years to come. Eight years ago, you asked if I would embark on this journey with you - what an unimaginable journey it has been. I’ve had the pleasure of having a front row seat to your gifts fully blossoming, all while you pushed me to embrace my own evolution, to trust myself the same way that you trust me, and to keep reaching even when many others would say that we were finished. It is a rare and beautiful thing to be so deeply and innately aligned, that it takes more work to fend off doubts and exterior voices than it does to fully trust our instincts. And how magical it was that our instincts were completely in sync. There is an entire village of people to thank and many stories to tell - too many of both for one post. But, in this moment, I salute you, Cynthia. Thank you for entrusting me with your vision. I am deeply honored every time you ask me to walk with you, and I will always carry your vision and your voice with care.

I am so grateful to be re-elected to the New York Chapter Board of Governors at the @recordingacademy . To be chosen by my peers is such a distinct honor, and I intend to carry this responsibility with every ounce of integrity, grace, and joy in my bones. As a young creator, I dreamed of being in rooms full of people who were as passionate about music as I am, and I pinch myself on every call, at every meeting, and at every event.
