i played this symphony in high school somewhere on a tour in europe and all i can remember is balling my eyes out at the end somehow knowing it could be the last time i would ever play it…luckily some kid’s parent from the orchestra took a video clip of this finale and i still watch it from time to time feeling every second of excitement because i’m almost positive it was there that i knew playing music was it for me.

i hate to break it to y’all but pigeons are just beautiful. look at this bean….i’ve named her scooter. scooter came to hang out on this rainy day. she nibbled some seeds, i took a pee and together we enjoyed some safety in each other’s presence. i hope she didn’t get embarrassed when i let out a lil giggle when she almost slipped off the window sill…forgive me scooter, but it was cute. we’re all just trying to keep from falling off the edge these days. consider this song, ‘scooter’s song’? okay, bye!

it’s now been a handful of days since my mother passed away and i really didn’t think i’d come to social media to share this news but alas, here i am. i know many people in my life who are familiar with our complicated relationship and my heart is broken that this happened just as we were putting our broken pieces back together. i grew up witnessing first hand the effects horrific, lifelong trauma can have on a woman and although it fucking sucked for both of us, i know she did her absolute best. she unintentionally taught me patience - patience for ourselves, patience for others, patience for things we cannot control. we had just finished cleaning my childhood apartment that had been hoarded since i was kid...a spooky and devastating yet healing experience. her mind was something else but it always saw beauty in the bullshit…when it could.
