“Time’s Ticking” is #1 country radio this week! Thankful to be a part of writing this one with some of my favorite people in this business @justincolemoore @countryjeremyst @randymontana Jeremy crushing the Justin production as always! I’ve been a fan of these boys records since I was riding backroads in Russell County listening to “Flyin’ Down A Backroad”. Means a lot to share this one with em! This is my 5th #1 as a writer and producer, which comes with a little reflection. 5 was always a big goal for me going into my first publishing deal. I just want to say thank you to every writer who has written with me over the years, every publisher who’s booked days with me, every artist who’s trusted me to produce their project, the musicians and engineers who share their talents in the studio with me, and all the labels and managers who have given me the keys to making records for them. I’m forever grateful to every piece of this machine that lets me play my part in making music.

Heartbroken. Thank you for everything Brett. You believed in me and gave me my first publishing deal 7 years ago and I’ve had the pleasure of getting to work together ever since. Thank you for treating me like an equal in the writing room from day one, but also teaching me how to write a hit at the same time. Thank you for taking me to my first studio cut session cause you thought I could produce records. I met my wife at your hall of fame induction night. A couple years later we sat by the beach with some rum and I told you she was the one. You teared up and told me to marry her and never let her go. Beyond the countless stack of hit records and accolades was a guy who was beyond generous. Who loved people and loved and lived life. Lived it to the fullest.
