This sweet boy is out of the hospital. His hair is a little worse for wear after having 20 EEG leads glued to his head for 6 straight days. He was an absolute trooper and charmed every doctor and nurse he saw. We were not able to capture a big seizure on EEG this week but we’ve got a little more information and a new medicine to try. We are all glad to be out of the hospital and we remain hopeful that we can get his seizures under control. Thanks to everyone who reached out, prayed and sent good vibes. We ❤️ you.

From the first time I read her prose, I knew it was only a matter of time until this day came and I know many of you who have followed her writing feel the same. This is the culmination of so much dedication and good old fashioned hard work. Waking up at 4am to write, writing with kids hanging off of her, writing when she was burnt out, sick, busy with life. Watching her do the thing she was born to do and getting to be her first reader has been so inspiring and I’m just so damn proud. 🥹

This @leoelleon record was such a beautiful experience. Leonel would give us the meaning behind each song before we went in to record it (since none of us were fluent in Spanish) and then he would go into the booth and sing some of the most inspiring live vocal takes with the band that I’ve ever heard.
