Originally conceived in his old South London studio and recovered from a dying hard drive, ‘Gemini’ presents two radically different versions of the same source material. As fate had it, I spent the majority of my twenties in walking distance to this 500-cap club. Long nights at @corsica.studios turned me from an indie kid into a bedroom DJ, then became a home for @cabinfeverldn for years and the system I’d first hear a @controlfreakrecordings tune on. The incredible team there were always a joy to work with and their shared artist-first philosophy and DIY spirit made it feel like something you wanted to be a part of.  A lot has been written about Corisca’s closure, so I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to say farewell to the club in my own small way, and try to elucidate what made it a special place - or as best you can in 12 and half minutes. In the process of making this I was reminded that scenes and artists do truly grow from spaces dedicated to nurturing people who are passionate about what they do. Control Freak (Live from Corsica Studios) on @rinse.fm ICYMI - we jumped on the @rinse.fm airwaves this past weekend with a 2hr excerpt from our set from the final @cabinfeverldn at @corsica.studios back in January - warming up the main room one last time before @orla_cd and @morelian . Corsica is a space that has defined what we do, where we spent many hours as punters before putting on the first of our bigger parties there - so we decided to have some fun and bust out old favourites that inspired us in the early days. The set was full of tracks which have shaped the past, present and future of the CF sound - moving through deep, rolling house into bass & breaks with some Hessle-era post-dubstep and early 2000s UK classics thrown in for good measure. As 2025 draws to a close, we wanted to take a moment to look back on the 6th year of Control Freak. Huge thanks all the listeners, DJs, producers and artists we’ve worked with this year - with new music from our very own Faulter @talfineman , @toupazzzzz , @forestdrivewest , @yushh____ , @olisyz & b._mcqueen, alongside label showcases hosted with the @niche.ldn and @sauna_socialclub crews. Big love as always to @maxbloomdesign for continuing to shape the visual world of the label. While it was a slightly quieter year for new music from us, we’ve had more fun than ever playing out together this year - from our very own @cabinfeverldn parties at @fold.ldn to @multimultifestival , @familyafffair , @mot.ldn , @the.bath.house.hw +++ We’re ready to take that momentum forward with lots already lined up for 2026 — new releases from familiar faces, brand new friends, and a couple of international debuts on the horizon.
