Provenance speaks directly to several of the topics B Corp assesses: environmental impact, transparency, ethical supply chains, community impact and accountability. 🍃
Provenance means being able to say:
- where ingredients come from
- who produced them
- how they were farmed or caught
- how far they travelled
For event catering, that can become quite difficult; the industry is built around unpredictability, scale and client expectations. We're certainly not saying we're perfect!
The industry seems to finally be recognising that "anything, anytime" no longer = luxury, and using fewer but better ingredients, local storytelling and low-waste cooking is the way forward. It's tough, but we're trying!

I'm noticing more corporate groups that care for conscious catering as much as we do. That's thinking about where the food comes from, whether it's in season, and how it gets to your plate.
Weddings and private party clients have always shared this concern, but corporate catering with care can often be a little overlooked. With strict budgets and short time frames, sometimes it's a case of getting the catering box ticked and moving on to plan the important details such award ceremonies and teambuilding.
I'm thrilled to see this positive change, and can't wait to get planning more planet-friendly corporate events this year. 🌎✨
