— Nouveau Lantern Bracket & Lantern —
Finally capstone is finished and my time at ACBA is coming to a close, I chose this design to challenge myself and to experiment with three-dimensional design. Stay tuned to see it get permanently installed at my clients home.
I passed milestone two a while ago; the scrolls, I need to adjust them a bit but I figure that I should get the whole thing put together before I do tweaking.
Some other checkpoints of note; all the repoussé is done, the lantern will be done very soon, and the connector bars are finished/in place.
Milestone three will be the back bar - connecting the lantern to the frame and adding in the last structural element

Here’s milestone one for my capstone - the central arch for the gas lantern is taking shape. It’s a twisted eclipse curving exponentially.
It was hard to justify making such a complex jig for only one part but it was the only way to make sure it was perfectly symmetrical.
Fingers crossed this is the toughest part.
