After many months away, we are returning to the stage to do brand new surprises on stage. We will be joined by two of our favorite bands of all time.
@mrcylne and
@semanticists (rebranded as Mr. Juice).
We would also like to announce that Kyra Horario will be departing from the Wheavy Band. She was an absolute killer on guitar for us (I would compare her to Slash), and we wish her luck in all her future success.
Separately, over the past few months, the four surviving members of the band (Me, Jude, Ruddy, Greenburgh) have had some difficult conversations about whether it made sense to continue as a band. It had become evident that we were severely burnt out from our world tour of Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens over the previous year. At several times in March and April, Ruddy and I were at each other's throats screaming and crying, and coughing up phlegm. I personally thought we would never play again. There was even a moment where Greenburgh and Jude unfollowed each other on Pintrest.
The other day, we were all together on my birthday. It was the first time we had all been in the same room since our final show as a band in February. Kyra looked at the four of us and said, "Guys, this is pathetic. The four of you were one of the greatest bands to ever go on a world tour of Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens. Before I joined the band, I was just a fan, but after being in the band, I realized you all need each other. The chain keeps you together. You guys need to realize one thing. I'm not coming back. You guys played hundreds of shows before I joined. So stop fighting. You are all like 45 anyway. It's weird."
Greenburgh looked up at me, "You know, I never liked the kid, but she is right. Why not us?"
Jude echoed the sentiment, "Greenburgh is right. Why not us?"
I looked over at Ruddy. He was hysterical. I walked over to him and said, "Hey bro, do you want to rock the world one last time?"
He looked back at me with his bass, "Let's do this thing." Ruddy proceeded to play the Fallout theme song on his bass, as the camera panned to the four of us marching off into the sunset, in the direction of Alphaville.
