Congratulations to all our friends at @lacma !! We are incredibly honored to have been a part of the production for @veronica_losantos beautiful photographs, as well as some mounting for @ytobarrada and Yang Fudong for the museum’s permanent collection. The new Geffen building is labyrinthine, cold, and permanent - composed of windowless bunkers of patinaed concrete and meandering halls where art hangs not by the strictures of geography and date, but by free association and curatorial interplay. Unlike any museum building on Earth and a profound achievement for LA. LA’s not all about the light it’s about the concrete too!!

Opening at PAC LA: Brandon Tauszik — Water & Power On February 28, we’re welcoming photographer and filmmaker Brandon Tauszik @be_dizzle to PAC LA’s space at The REEF for the opening of Water & Power, presented during SHOW LA. The reception is free and open to the public—no fair ticket needed. Tauszik’s photographs turn our attention to the massive, often overlooked infrastructure that makes life in Los Angeles possible. From the Owens River Valley to aging hydroelectric plants still in use today, Water & Power looks at how water was moved, controlled, and transformed into the foundation of a city. Shot in color and echoing the visual language of early industrial photography, the work reveals a tension between ingenuity and extraction, permanence and precarity. What once felt inevitable is shown as the result of extraordinary—and ongoing—human intervention. 📍 PAC LA at The REEF @the_reef_la 🗓 February 28 🎟 Free to attend Join us for the opening and spend time with a project that reframes how we see the systems sustaining Los Angeles. Production support generously provided by @weldoncolorlab #PhotographyExhibition #ArtistSpotlight #ContemporaryPhotography #PhotoExhibition #LosAngelesArt Images: 1. Artist Spotlight: Brandon Tauszik Los Angeles–based photographer and filmmaker Brandon Tauszik @be_dizzle creates immersive projects that examine American social and environmental systems often hidden in plain sight. In Water & Power, Tauszik traces the vast infrastructure that sustains Los Angeles. Through large-scale color photographs of the Owens River Valley and the century-old hydroelectric network that reshaped it, Tauszik captures both the ambition and the fragility of this system. The work moves between awe and unease—monumental engineering set against a future where access to water feels increasingly uncertain. Tauszik’s work has been featured in The Washington Post, Le Monde, the British Journal of Photography, and others. He is the author of Water & Power (2024), Fifteen Vaults (2023), and Pale Blue Dress (2020). Join us for the opening reception of Water & Power at PAC LA’s space at The REEF on February 28, coinciding with SHOW LA. No fair ticket required to attend. 📍 PAC LA at The REEF @the_reef_la 🗓 February 28th, 2 pm to 5 pm PST 🎟 Free and open to the public Come experience a body of work that reconnects the public imagination to the systems shaping life in Los Angeles.
