Artist Spotlight: Brandon Tauszik
Los Angeles–based photographer and filmmaker Brandon Tauszik
@be_dizzle creates immersive projects that examine American social and environmental systems often hidden in plain sight. In Water & Power, Tauszik traces the vast infrastructure that sustains Los Angeles.
Through large-scale color photographs of the Owens River Valley and the century-old hydroelectric network that reshaped it, Tauszik captures both the ambition and the fragility of this system. The work moves between awe and unease—monumental engineering set against a future where access to water feels increasingly uncertain.
Tauszik’s work has been featured in The Washington Post, Le Monde, the British Journal of Photography, and others. He is the author of Water & Power (2024), Fifteen Vaults (2023), and Pale Blue Dress (2020).
Join us for the opening reception of Water & Power at PAC LA’s space at The REEF on February 28, coinciding with SHOW LA. No fair ticket required to attend.
