Operation: Green Room (Part 1)🤘✨
This project got started January 2025 as part of my husband and I’s creative gift and in celebration of 25 Years of Alex’s Bar! After so many years open, it only seemed appropriate to get a proper green room going LOL
Adolescents LP color blue was an idea derived from Alex. Wanting something opposite of the chaos of out front… a calming color && it is reminiscent of his good friend, the late Steve Soto 🩵 And it just so happened I snagged this clearance blue paint years ago (with no idea in mind then). Custom printed wallpaper by @weirdzenlbc 🤌 We went with a fun and bold mid-century print - in Part 2, you’ll see we continued that print to the next wall!
This was a labor of love and tbh, a really fun project. I’ve never taken on something quite like this. Thank you Alex and family for trusting my vision - believe me, they would be surprised with every change I made LOL Thank you to my bb + numero uno @master_droog for making my vision come to reality. Much love to all the bands I get to set up for. We wanted your short (sometimes long) stay to be more comfortable now with couches + a vanity area…Not all of you have gotten to see it yet && I can’t wait to invite you back!

Shoutout to our friends at the hottest new punk Izakaya style restaurant in Little Tokyo @funhouse_losangeles 🤘✨
We got to work on their bathrooms before the soft soft opening. We collaborated together with Tusbasa but he ultimately let us run the ship - thank you for trusting us! We haven’t been back since August to see the restaurant up and running (because the wife fractured her ankle shortly) after this project… but we were excited to come back for their holiday private party last night and love their added touches to all of their walls!
Definitely must visit spot if you’re in LA, into underground punk and rock n roll memorabilia, love sashimi or just want to support a small business. Plus it’s right around the corner from @kools_clothing_usa + @spacecityvintagela !!
