Window project for Hermès in Venice, Italy.☀️ Grateful to the Hermès team for the invitation, trust, and precious collaboration within such a unique city and setting. On view until August 2026. “Inside the Cabinet” — where vessels, furniture, and food oscillate between memory and imagination. Each element is handcrafted by the artist, bearing the trace of its making. Within this composed environment, Hermès pieces become part of a quiet narrative shaped by time, material, and perception. Today is the preview of Art Basel and we are excited to present the work of Wei Libo in the Statements section, booth M18. Arriving from the city of Lanzhou in China to Nantes, where he trained in various techniques, Wei experienced a form of uprooting that was as much historical as geographical. The speed of socio-economic change in contemporary China has disrupted both landscapes and memory. The story is a familiar one: industrialisation, the desertification of rural areas, and forced urbanisation. But as often happens, these collective phenomena collide with intimate family histories — like when Wei’s grandfather’s house, along with thousands of others, was demolished. That house, built and furnished by hand, stood at the centre of an artisanal way of life where everyone worked with wood and cultivated their own garden. Its destruction marked a rupture, and a deep awareness of the value of a knowledge-based, manual culture. Find out more on our website. ↘ Homemade Jusqu’au 19 avril 2025 Sans titre 13 rue Michel Le Comte 75003 Paris @wei.libo @sanstitre.gallery @projetsmedia Journaliste @marcbeyneysonier Production & réalisation @marcbeyneysonier @cha_simon @gongau @sacre.tv @helloangels @antoine__allain @instant.prod @lucie.jpg #sanstitregallery #homemade #weilibo #projetsmedia #artcontemporain #exposition

Join us this Saturday from 4 to 8pm for the opening of "Homemade", Wei Libo’s first solo exhibition at Sans titre. Born in 1994 in Lanzhou, China, Wei Libo belongs to a generation shaped by the rapid urbanization and economic upheavals of the 1990s. Having grown up in a rural environment before pursuing his studies at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, his work explores the tensions between modernity and tradition, disappearance and transmission. Through artisanal techniques such as ceramics, marquetry, and brasswork, he interrogates our relationship with objects, the notion of home, and memory, anchoring his practice in a materiality that preserves the imprint of gesture. Having previously explored massive forms and the weight of absence in his exhibition at FRAC Île-de-France, he now chooses a different trajectory: "Homemade" no longer speaks of the lost home, but rather of the act of making, the pleasure of craftsmanship, and the material that bends under the hand yet rises in fragile equilibrium. @wei.libo #weilibo #homemade #sanstitre #sanstitregallery
