As a brand and communications shop, we’re always trying to find out what makes people tick: What’re they up to? Where are they travelling? How are they living? What gets them out of bed in the morning? But it turns out, we’re not the only ones. People are interested in people. Fascinated, actually. It’s not a new discovery, but it’s a great reminder. And that’s why we’re SO excited to introduce you to Guides - a new brand, content series and lifestyle documentary that we’ve launched alongside some of our most beloved collaborators and creators. Guides invites outdoor enthusiasts on all levels to take a peek into the varied lives and landscapes of British Columbia and beyond. Ripping boats through fjords, milling logs on a remote island, golfing and drinking wine in the desert: our guides share their passion for a place that encourages you to do things differently. Bringing together athletes, guides and locals, with tourism partners and outdoor industry brands, we’re creating stories at the intersection of outdoor culture, travel and creativity that we hope people want to immerse themselves in. With over 500,000+ views on the ticker across Guides channels so far, we can’t wait to see where this goes and who we meet. This post is a massive thank you to the geniuses we’ve worked alongside to bring this to life: @joelcliftonmakes @abbydells @seadoexpeditions @keatingcolm @guyfattalphoto @maxbailey.ca @mattcolorswell @_soundbooth @ridgelinesound @adamjaudio @nicmcdonogh @markabma @basvsteenbergen @vinvan.ca @rachelefinn @georgia_scarlet_waters @kirstenmccartne @james__hearn @jack_funn

Windows down, music up: here’s some new work for LEGEND 102.9 🎵 Diving into the visual world of legendary festival posters and magazine covers, Legend’s chunky type and gridded system is a blast from the past. Based in Hamilton, Ontario (The Hammer, if you know, you know), you’ll hear Legend 102.9 curating the best of the best all day long 🎸🎤 From Skeleton’s design department ‘Obligato was the absolute perfect typeface for this in name, spirit and structure’. We have @laborandwait.xyz to thank for that 👌

Last summer, we had the pleasure of creating a brand identity for @tourismpg ‘s latest project the Nanguz ‘An Container Market, which was walk and talk of the town quite literally. Building on their existing brand, we built a sub-identity filled with colour, diversity and a broad graphic system. We had the opportunity to create ‘the way finding system of our dreams’ (quoted by Skeleton’s Design Lead), bringing the market to life in a fun, approachable and accessible way. Working alongside our dream team @6ixsigma on production and @atmosphericperspective on the architectural build, this is a real zinger case for the crew. Congratulations to the @tourismpg team on their recent award for Professional Excellence at the BC Tourism Conference, we’ve seen it in practice 🌟🌟🌟 and thanks for bringing us on board to execute the vision. More to share on this soon!

We are so proud and excited to share this mini documentary that has been crafted in the background for the better part of the last year. SOARE has always been a tricky one to explain to someone new; how do you share and impart the impact of a non-profit organization that combines a 24-7 maker space full of machinery and tools, with consistent high impact programs and events, all housed within the rapidly growing and expanding outdoor recreation industry that is the Sea to Sky? Well, we think this video accomplishes just that. Shown here is just the quick preview - please follow the link in bio to watch the full docu-short on YouTube! In the past 2.5 years since our launch, SOARE has hosted 27 incredible in-person programs, helped cultivate $500K+ in revenue growth for our Members, and brought closer together the vibrant and growing outdoor rech-tech business community right here in the S2S. Incredible thanks and gratitude to @keatingcolm for your vision and artistry, @weareskeletoncrew for your support on graphics and animations, @t__cuth & @aluulacomposites for being your enigmatic and curious self, and of course, our Local, Provincial and Federal partners, without whom none of this would even exist.

A BIG thank you to all the humans who helped make our first Industry Day a huge success! As a small non-profit organization, people make all the difference; by showing up, engaging, asking questions, making new connections - you have helped make a large difference, not only for this event, but for the future of SOARE. It was heartwarming to see so much support for the outdoor industry here in the Sea to Sky, demonstrated by the 16+ vendors we had, combined with 5 incredible presentations; connecting and sharing with like minded industry professionals, the air was abuzz. We are already dreaming on the next one! @parallel49beer @slackwaterbrewing @squamishwaterkefir @angie_gallant_ @nomadic.mechanic @fixbindingco @deorumski @midnightlightning.co @enlesce @outdoor_gear_repair @knwnmfg @inflowadventureco @squamishcanyon @rux.life @capilanou @weareskeletoncrew @dawnnpark @nathanielatakora @zoe.beau @rise_outdoor @surface.athletic

Set 3 from Shegeng with @arcteryx China, featuring Feisha. This shoot was a bit of a dream setup - I had a wide-open canvas to create on, with just enough structure to keep things sharp. Before heading out, I connected with my friends at @weareskeletoncrew , who helped me shape a clear direction: a focus on movement, personality, and the unique styles each athlete brings to the wall. That became the foundation for this creative project. With climbing, there’s a temptation to chase difficulty. But here the intention was different. It was about how an athlete moves, not just what they climb. We wanted the images to carry a sense of individuality and rhythm - the small gestures, the quiet expressions, the personal style that each climber brings. Over the past month, it’s been amazing to watch Skeleton Crew take that vision further. From ideation to design, they built the creative under the theme Follow the Leader, weaving each set into a story about flow, style, and climbing spirit, while elevating the work in ways I couldn’t have imagined! Huge thanks to the crew, to Arc’teryx China, and the athletes for making this one so fun and inspiring to bring to life.

Set 2 from Shegeng with @arcteryx China. River - He Chuan @riverhechuan , is a man with a vision. A quiet crusher in the mountaineering world, he’s spent years ticking off huge objectives with a calm, confident approach. A few years back, he saw the potential of Shegeng Cave and began shaping it into what it is today: an international climbing destination. In just a year and a half, he’s helped unite the Chinese climbing community, international athletes, route developers, Arc’teryx China, and even the local province to officially support the project. I arrived a couple of days before the launch and got to spend a day with River - shooting, laughing, and hearing the behind-the-scenes story of how all this came to life… and what’s next. Huge thanks again to @weareskeletoncrew for their design magic and vision on this creative series, and to everyone who’s been part of this journey. Having the chance to capture and share it has been awesome. Pt. 3 coming soon.

Super stoked to finally drop a project I’ve been cooking up since May. Back then, I got the invite from the amazing team at @arcteryx China to come shoot the launch of Shegeng Cave as a world-class climbing spot. And wow! this place is next level - a massive open limestone cave towering over a tiny rural village in Guangxi Province, fields and mountains all around. Over the last few years, the local climbing community, Arc’teryx China, and top international crushers have put up 100+ routes here - including the hardest in China at 5.15b. The launch event was incredible - a few days of shooting with Arc’teryx China’s athletes, watching their styles and energy come alive on the wall. I was lucky to have a lot of creative freedom on this trip, and after coming home, I wanted to reimagine the story in a unique way — a sort of photographer’s “director’s cut” — blending my stills with graphic design elements for a fresh perspective on an already epic moment. Huge thanks to @weareskeletoncrew for dreaming up and crafting this vision together with me - their creativity and design work took this to another level. And much love to the athletes and the local climbing scene for the stoke and inspiration. First set with Dakeng - @cxy417sheng drops now. Two more coming soon.
