Metal in the Midlands at Birmingham Town Hall - Rock of Ages Year Two Highlights 🤘🔥
What a gig this was! I remember how amped I was when I saw it was announced, possibly one of the biggest gigs for grass roots music I've ever seen. Was incredible to see @cherrydeadband , @meatdripper_ , @gans_brum & @wearedefects take to the Town Hall stage - affording a mix of both prestige and history to the gig.
It was incredible to see the turnout for this one and we had an awesome (and at times brutal) mosh pit - definitely during Gans! I did what I could to help promote this and was initially supposed to be in the VIP area, but I managed to get that exchanged for a wristband - I wanted to be down there for it! Perhaps should've taken the VIP as I managed to crack a rib during the pit! Ouch! But still one of the best memories from year 2 of covering grass roots music!
Big ups to the bands CHERRYDEAD, MEATDRIPPER, GANS & DEFECTS, plus a massive shout out to @bmusic_ltd , @bbcwm & @lylebignon for making this gig a incredible reality!
