“Hurting Other People” was the first song I ever wrote for @waysinwaves and I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately. I wrote it about the harm we do to each other without even thinking about it, how it feels that not matter what decisions we make we’re inevitably hurting someone who is far away from us. I thought of what a physical space that embodies this might feel like to exist within, or to be born into. The lyrics are sadly way too relevant right now. We’ll be bringing back part of the tune to open our set tonight at @divebaryeg for @hilightfestival so come out and exorcise the horrors of your screens by being around other people and experiencing art together 💜

Matters to Ash released one year ago today, which is… wild. So much time, energy, love, sweat, and tears went into making this album, and bringing it alive with my friends is probably my favourite thing to do.
