This is the front. And this is the back.
@garconnnne and I had been itching for a chance to collaborate on some lewks, so when fastLOVE started making the rounds, we knew it was time to SERVE.
Inspired by the film’s themes (constraint + release, exposure + concealment, + the euphoria that can come from being bound) we wanted to create outfits that held both tension and flow.
We began with one of my favorite suits by
@jeanpaulgaultier , a collaboration with
@yproject_official that harkens back to his ’90s collection, featuring a stippled nude male body printed like a muscular x-ray on both sides of the suit. Up close: a blur of tones. From a distance: a body.
By reversing it and tying it up with delicate pink bows (made by
@izzisews ), we intrinsically queered the male form, challenging conventional ideas of masculine desirability. Through styling, the body becomes something unrecognizable. Un-objectified. Provocation wrapped in softness.
Then came the iconic Fastlove music video, where
@georgemofficial and his team of models pranced around in low-rise leather, wild makeup, and sharp tailoring dripping in designer accessories.
Blending that with some
@maisonmargiela theatrics, we built a second look with a corest from
@wutheringdelight and pants from
@ballesteros_designs that carried that same tension: the feeling of being held just tight enough. With an underlayer and gloves from
@arcana.co.uk and
@alicefoxmakeup ’s gorgeous design, this look is truly one of my favorites I’ve ever worn.
Fashion has always been part of my creative life: the transformation, the playfulness, the artistry. Sharing these looks alongside this film is just, well, chef’s kiss.
Thank you
@insideoutfestival for hosting us, and
@callmealbs for these gorgeous shots.
More to come 🖤
