Huge shout out to @sgbeachwarriors for all the care, energy, and hard work that goes into keeping our beaches clean and alive 💙 🌊☀️ This morning, we managed to save and collect some of the debris for our artwork from their cleaning. A big thanks to @samshuqin for leading us to SG Beach Warriors, and @lonew0lf and @_zhenghaoo for sweating it out under the blazing sun and hauling the salty, smelly debris back to the studio 🫶✨ Video and first 2 photos by @_zhenghaoo

Super excited to present the second batch of the MA Arts and Ecology work-in-progress exhibition, in collaboration with @groundupinitiative . Quiet Unease pushes against the idea of a “pure” nature, inviting viewers into a space of ongoing negotiation. It considers how open-ended making might offer alternative ways of relating. 回 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑰𝑰 @sai_studios ✨ Sound Check ✨ Live performance with Equaver & Friends 🗓 1 February (Sun) 🕟 4:30–5:30pm 📍 Comma Space 🎟 Limited capacity — please register via the link in our bio What happens when an experiment is truly listened to — tuned through breath, voice, and vibration? During the first sound check of Sai’s Experiment I at @artoutreachsingapore , led by @franhomusic , the singers’ voices uncovered something unexpected: an enveloping vibration that gently held the experience, space and mind together. That moment sparked a new exploration, now reimagined within a different spatial arrangement at @commaartspace . This is not a technical sound check, but a vocal activation — a way of sensing, attuning, and awakening the experiment through listening to yourself. Come and let the voices move through you! 📸 by @ken_filmingosg #ExperimentII #SoundCheck #LivePerformance #Equaver #CommaSpace #SoundAndSpace #VocalResonance #回

Wang Ruobing (SG) @wang_ruobing 📍 Venue 82 Tiong Poh Rd, #01-07 Singapore 160082 1-2. Compressing Green No. 1 Dimensions: Variable Medium: Mixed media Year: 2025 Compressing Green No. 1 comprises green-spined books, tightly secured against a domestic pillar using F-clamps. Drawn from the artist’s personal collection accumulated over the past two decades, the selected volumes all engage with themes of nature and the environment. The work materialises the notion of “green” through compression, translating abstract concerns of ecology and sustainability into a tangible visual and physical gesture. The commonplace F-clamp—an everyday tool for holding and fixing—functions as a metaphor for the fragile containment of ecological knowledge and the pressures embedded within contemporary environmental discourse. 3-4. Toasting Darwin (Collaboration with @sai_studios ) Dimensions: 29 × 29 × 14 cm Medium: Mixed media Year: 2009 Toasting Darwin brings into dialogue Charles Darwin’s The Variation of Animals and Plants Under Domestication (1868) with a green bread toaster acquired from a London flea market. Darwin’s seminal text systematically examines how selective breeding and environmental influences generate variation in domesticated species, forming a foundation for his broader theory of evolution. The toaster—a mass-produced domestic appliance designed to transform raw bread into a consumable state—operates as a material metaphor for human intervention, transformation, and control. By juxtaposing a canonical scientific work with an object of everyday utility, the piece foregrounds the entanglement of knowledge, technology, and the domestication of life in the Anthropocene. — Presented as part of ZHAISHENGJI® Chapter 5 📅 26 October 2025 – 31 January 2026 Singapore artists guest-curated by: Wang Ruobing (SG) @wang_ruobing Cultural Partner: Comma Space @commaartspace Organised by: Pure ArtLab @pureartlab Co-organised by: COSPACE @cospacegallery

While traveling, I received an invitation from Sun Jingfei, a journalist with Lianhe Zaobao, to contribute a short piece recommendation on my reading of a Chinese book. Taking this opportunity, I note down a few moments that exist outside my work in art.
