Set on a warm summer’s day, this short film is a gentle ode to boyhood — fleeting, playful, and full of unspoken connection. What started as a final shoot before Jonathan, our DOP, left for the Karoo, slowly turned into something more tender: a love letter to friendship, to collaboration, and to those quiet moments that don’t ask for much but leave a lasting feeling.

Lately, I’ve been a headland of strange cargo a taxi teetering on the slope of my crown,
passengers made of stone and memory,
ghosts leaping into orbit.
I hail the vanishing,
I hold the impossible,
yet still feel nowhere bound.
