I always have trouble making time to work on my own pieces, but one of my goals for 2025 is to finish my own Mando, as well as some other builds. This helmet is a resin cast from @johnrodriguezfx , but I swapped out the ear caps and rear vent with some custom pieces. Custom DT-29 Just finished up a custom DT-29, with a custom mixed dark blue barrel and some nice red copper tinted accents for some of the metallic parts. I also modeled a custom scope attachment piece for this one. I’ve been painting a lot of these lately, so it was cool to do a custom one. Let me know what you think! It takes a video to really capture how the @imperialsurface Alumaluster really catches the light. This @wampasworkshop shoulder was awesome to work with and I really like how it turned out. Goal was to keep the paint and leather work simple. I only added a single “last resort” round. Finished this armor commission last week for @sandcrawler_relics and a helmet for @smagsig79 ,and was able to grab some videos of everything before sending it all off. As with his previous armor set, Andres came up with the main color scheme for everything and trusted me to turn it into reality. I love what he came up with, pairing the dark purple/maroon with the red and black, with chipping and scratches showing the beskar underneath. In addition to the helmet and armor set, I was also tasked with creating a Queen of Hearts themed mando helmet for Andres’ wife. She came up with the paint scheme and the idea for a crown to take the place of the rangefinder. Im very happy with how everything turned out, and am very blessed to have people like @sandcrawler_relics and @smagsig79 who trust me with their vision, thank you both for letting me bring these to life! When you have a good clear coat day… Throwback to December when I was painting some helmets for @oceancitycomiccon . One of the best clear coat jobs I’ve done for sure. I ended up leaving this one mostly unpainted chrome, aside from the ears. Finished up this large commission recently, which consisted of 3 wall plates, a custom skinny panel, a custom medium sized panel, and a custom large panel. The skinny panel and large panel were based off of artwork provided by my client, though I took a few creative liberties for things like the larger greebles on the large panel. The medium sized panel was an all original design, and I’m very happy with the layout. Let me know what you think! A lot happened in 2025, making it a super busy year for me, not just in the realm of prop making. There were ups and downs, and many things in between, and it was both invigorating and exhausting. Saying that, I am incredibly blessed to be able to do the things I do, and extremely thankful to everyone who has supported me in any way. Here’s some of my favorite props from 2025. There’s even more that I completed towards the end of 2025, which I’ll be posting soon, all of which would also fall into my favorites. Some of the things I’m very proud of and excited about from 2025 are my custom pauldrons and thigh plates, which are molded (and a couple about to be molded), and which will be available for resin and rubber casts soon. It was definitely a level up with working with rubber armor parts and figuring out how I prefer to paint them and what products I like to use. Temple Guard Tuesday? I painted this Custom Temple Guard mask a little while ago. It was fun to paint, as it didn’t require any masking or have multiple parts, so it was nice to be able to just print it, prep it, and paint jt. The original artwork had the mask as a yellow/gold, but I went with a different shade for it. I can’t remember which pigment I used, but it was one of the golds from @imperialsurface that I used to tint my top clear coat. If I could go back and add anything I think I would do a tiny bit of a vertigris patina in the deeper lines. Let me know what you think!
