Tomorrow @the__uninvited Invitational kicks off at @woodwardparkcity and I couldn’t be more hyped to run back the A42 photo workshop with @jendephoto and @thrashley_photo . Last year, @jess.kimura , @nirvanaortanez , and @_apgf provided us the space to gather attending media and connect as a group—something that too rarely happens during events and contests because everything is moving so fast. But connection and collaboration are so valuable as the foundation for learning, sharing, upleveling skills, and opening new avenues of creativity. And so an opportunity to do that during an event, especially The Uninvited, has so much exciting potential. And when it comes to women’s sports and women in sports, the possibilities are even greater; just as The Uninvited has infused rocket fuel into women’s snowboarding (and snowboarding, in general), we hope to similarly enhance things for those working on the sidelines, lugging their camera bags, staring through viewfinders, and spending evenings editing in order to do justice to the riders and the riding taking place. Last year, the week working alongside photogs with varying perspectives and at different points of their careers exceeded our hopes and expectations. Through discussion, access to ask questions, and daily photo review, the group fine-tuned photos and skills together and left with strengthened relationships in the industry. It was also just so much fun to dive deep into photography with everyone. No matter how long you’ve been shooting—there is always more to learn and perspectives and techniques to consider. This year, the workshop is poised to be even radder thanks to the support of The Uninvited, @fattire , @coalheadwear , and @woodwardparkcity to make this happen. Can’t wait to get together with everyone and see what goes down this year! 📷 @deadleigh , @sour_beer , @emma.dubrovsky , and @walshmt

@sam_sosnowski_ appreciation post. Last summer, Sam didn’t flinch when I suggested we remove a fast-multiplying, invasive weed that was overtaking a large area of our yard in Maine—by hand, piece by piece, sifting out little bits that remained in the soil so it wouldn’t regrow. Instead he spent a month with me happily digging in the dirt until it was all gone. I’m so lucky to have a person who makes even the most tedious tasks remarkably fun. To many more years of yardwork together. Happy Birthday, Sammy. ❤️

The relentless heart of this club and the dedication from and for its supporters is so incredibly special. Every time I get to be on the sidelines, I’m so hyped to do my best to capture some of the moments. Last Saturday in Tennessee was epic. First-ever playoffs ✔️ A traveling supporters section that could be heard on the ESPN broadcast ✔️ A big win from the boys of Maine ✔️ Next-level stoke on the field and in the stands post-match ✔️ Spokane this Sunday. Here we go. ❤️🌲

My dad. The effing coolest. This is sometime in the late 1970s, in his twenties on a boat in Casco Bay off the coast of Harpswell, Maine. He came to Maine from San Diego to go to college and fell in love with it. I reversed his path and ended up in San Diego. He always said we were bi-coastal. He loved that. My dad lived with a fierce passion for what he believed in. Family, community, golf, writing, art, literature, the beauty in the small parts of everyday…did I mention golf? He instilled in me the confidence to chase after the things I love and was so supportive as I did. I feel so lucky to be his daughter. Today is my dad’s birthday and I miss him immensely. The past year without him has been the hardest ever. But this photo, given to me last summer, is framed in our living room and I look at it every day—my dad on the ocean, sea spray on his aviators, unflinchingly doing the things he loved with the people he loved—and I do my best to live like him. ❤️

A few bits of creative kindling from in-between moments the final day of @rndsearch at @whitewatermountainresort (thank you @arcteryx !). The terrain and textures of this mountain are the stuff of dreams—the perfect setting for such a impactful event (thank you, @robinvangyn !). Fuel for excitement as the evenings are getting cooler.

A @sam_sosnowski_ appreciation post. Unbelievably grateful for the love, support, laughter, and creativity. Thank you for holding me up when things are the hardest and always being down to walk the golf course with me in the evenings. ❤️ And thank you for remembering the cake when we almost forgot about it, 8.31.24 at Mackerel Cove. I love cake and I love you.

We’re still trying to figure out what went down… One minute @mariefranceroy was fully decked out (photo 1), the next she’s jacketless with her bra upside down (photo 2). Word is @katie_kenzz dared everyone not competing—from the other judges/mentors to photographers/filmers to the office girls—to place side bets on who could throw the most style. None of us stood a chance, even before MFR’s jacket came off. 📷 @walshmt #JacketWho #StyleOverEverything #InItToWinIt #FreeTheStyle #BraOptionalStyleMandatory
